It's amazing what a difference a day can make...
I turned 35 yesterday, not a major milestone but still another year gone. It makes me think back on how much has happened in the last year.
The last year was full of ups and downs. Some worse than others, some better.
On my birthday last year, I was in Texas spending time with Paul and meeting Chris for the first time. About a month later, Chris and I were dating.
Had a good time at the Gathering, in spite of a few hiccups.
On 4th of July, I had my party as always and even more friends showed up. Fred found a new way to light fireworks, which made for interesting videos.
At Seadog Nights, I took Muriel to her first event and opened her world to a whole new set of friends and ideas.
Beginning of August was the Revel, at which I had a great time in spite of being kinda frazzled.
At the end of August, I lost my FA and was told I need to fill a time-frame extension. I then spent the better part of 2 months trying to get a hold of trying to get the department advisor to call me back so I could get her signature because I couldn't turn the paperwork in without it.
Sept, my son started High School, which really made me wonder where the time went.
In mid-Sept, I went back to Texas and spent 2 weeks with Paul and Chris, at which point Paul dragged me into SecondLife. In SL, I met Sabrina.
In Nov., I gave up on trying to get anywhere with PCC and started my transfer to PSU.
Nov.-Dec., I slide to a new low because I wasn't in classes, my S.A.D. got really bad and I hid from most of the world.
Jan., I took a photo class at PCC to keep me busy. I took it with my fav instructor, Smith. I started going into SL more often and chatting with Sabrina.
In Feb., my daughter turned 11, which floored me. Near V-day, I took a giant leap off a cliff and professed my interest in Sabrina.
In mid-March, I took another jump and purposed to Sabrina, to which she acccepted. A few days late, Chris purposed to me and I acccepted.
And finally yesterday, I spent the day with Darren, running an errand to PSU then going to look at cameras. I wasn't, however, expecting him to buy my the camera he had been gathering money for.
So I now have a Nikon D200.
All in all, it's been a good year.
Tomorrow I start my first classes at PSU. I am working towards a Bachelors of Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Photography.
