Titled: The Little Kid Down The Street
Copyright - 2006
I am the little kid
that lives down the street
I am the one that throws
the baseball at your feet
I am the little boy
The one that mows your lawn
I am the one that delivers
your paper
And feeds your dog and cat when
you're gone
I'm the little boy
That grew up with your kid
I'm the neighbor next door
That grew old and you wondered
how he did.
I'm the little boy
that grew into the man
The kid that everyone said
couldn't do what others can
I'm that little boy
That you once used to see and smile
And I'm the little boy
Who still drives by your house
every once in awhile
I just wanted to write this poem
To let those kind folks know
I'm that little boy
Who's had the luck of the draw
Everywhere I go
To those who said I couldn't
And to those that said I can
Hello, I'm that little boy
Who's grown into a responsible
and doing very well grown man
