Darkness fell upon the garden, resurrecting spirits that would vie for supremacy as they had always done and would continue to do into eternity.
Three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, arose from sleep. Traversing the garden, they laid claim to all that existed within its borders.
The Archangel of Virtue looked down from the heavens and sprang forth, followed by armies of Cherubim and Seraphim, circling downward and inward toward the boundaries of the sacred plot in an ever tightening spiral as demons gathered at the garden’s center, preparing for the inevitable onslaught.
A halo of light appeared in the heavens and God looked down upon the garden. “Turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that you may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith,” thus saith the Lord.
He, who was cast into hell and delivered into chains of darkness, burst forth from the bowels of the earth upon a white horse. Upon His head was a crown, and upon the crown was blasphemy, and in His wake rode the horsemen of the apocalypse - Anarchy, Warfare, Famine and Death. The Beast bellowed forth its challenge to the heavens, “I Myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath.”
The demon that shall be known as Hands That Sheddeth Innocent Blood, knelt at the edge of the garden and bowed its head in reverence. “I repent my sins that I may be forgiven and rejoice in the kingdom of heaven. Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord.”
And the Angle of Forgiveness stood before the demon, laying hands upon its head. “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty and bestow His blessing. If thou shalt confess thine sins and believe in thine heart that God hath forgiven, thou shalt be saved.”
The demon raised its head and looked into the eyes of the confessor, then thrust its claws deep into the angel’s chest, ripping out its heart, and held it, still beating, high into the air.
The Angel of Vengeance cast its spear into the eye of Hands That Sheddeth Innocent Blood and was in turn, set upon by the spirits of darkness and fell from the sky in flames. Claws and weapons of good and evil collided with armor and shields as the battle took force. Brimstone and sulfur rained down from the heavens. Spiritual blood covered the ground.
The Archangel of Virtue lunged forth at The Beast, plunging a dagger into its belly, then pried open the mouth of dark spirit until it separated at the hinges. Clutching the neck of the Archangel, The Beast drove its claws deep into the throat of the holy being, and the two deities stood motionless in time, locked in combat, as the battle ensued around them.
It was at that moment, the first ray of morning light fell upon the garden. Weary and wounded spirits retreated to their habitats, leaving the garden to the to the fortunes of the day.
