+ We got there hella late(Missed: The Smashup, Into Eternity, and Sanctity, boo!)...arrived during Arch Enemy's set..AE churns out wonderful music, IMO, but Angela's showmanship sucks..she wasn't entertaining really, none of them were..they seemed tired. Although Im not familiar with Overkill, they were hella entertaining..the Blitz dude kept us all laughing our asses off not only between songs, but during as well..he's a fuckin comedian. Overkill wasn't just playing their songs, they were incorporating the audience, so it was a completely exuberating experience..not just us standing there listening to them play. Plus Blitz called us Oakland folks "some black-hearted muther fuckers.", yay..and he made fun of Sacramento people! This fool KNOWS NorCal's inside joke..most enjoyable song they played went something like: We don't care what you say: FUCK YOU..Opeth was great, Mikael's subtle humor was enjoyable, and they made my night when they played Deliverance as their closer, and changed it up a bit for the better(they added improv to every song!)..I don't like Lamb Of God in the least, but the lead singer really got the crowd pumped(prbly b/c most everyone was there for them..LOG didn't really have to do anything besides announce what song they were playing next)..Not a big fan of Megadeth, so we left after like two of their songs, but the pyrotechnics were neat.. +
