A couple days ago I opened my aparment door and proceeded down the steps. I grabbed the handle to the glass entryway at the bottom of the stairs and stepped outside. A familiar smell entrapped my senses as I stopped and took it all in. I kept walking as I sat in my car, started the engine, and drove away. Not thinking of that smell again. Today as I was driving home I noticed the leaves started turning and painting the pavement. As though no sooner it was summer, the beginning of fall has struck upon me.
My mind began to turn and tumble in various directions as I drove the typical path homebound. I decided to take a different way, bored of the everyday habit. I came upon a large circular lake today, one I had never seen before. So I pulled the car over to the side of the road, got out of my car and walked over to a clearing. It was the most breathtaking moment of fall yet.
This brought me to yet another thought. Seasons pass...Spring,Summer,Fall and Winter. They are just like how we live our lives. Spring all in itself is rejuvenating all around. Summer, allows for growth and the destinctive smell of rain after a storm. Fall, things are slowing down, animals are getting ready for hibernation. Finally winter,,,,,,,death. Everything around us has some sort of connection that our maker has delicately put there for us to smile upon. Its amazing to think that a greater being has been compassionate enough to think of touch, sight, smell and all of the fascinating things about life.
Fall is yet another part of life that seems to bring a part to my lips.
