Time to get angry again so I can wake up...
I was on helium a few weeks ago, and I was reading thru the philosophy articles, and there was one that was titled "Why We Exist" I thought HA! I gotta read this... I love nothing more than a good debate on taboo shit man. So here I am reading these peoples articles... "We are here cuz its Gods will" blah blah blah... I want to believe in god as much as I can, but the reality of it is, If I dont believe in Gandolf, I am damn sure not going to believe in god. Anyway, here was my response to them...
What is the reason for our existence? Everyone has asked themselves that question at one time or another. No matter what anyone else says, you as a human will stick to your guns about your beliefs. However, every once in a while, someone will open up and see someone else's point of view.
Back to the question on hand, what is the reason of our existence? There is no reason. There does not need to be a reason. We are here because the earth allowed us to be. Millions of years ago, we were tiny organisms, and we have grown and evolved into intelligent creatures. We are here by chance, a lucky roll of the dice.
We, as the human race, want to believe there is something more to life and existence so we can believe that we are important. No one wants to feel as if they are insignificant to the whole. But we are. And it is alright that we are not the center of the universe, and that there may not be a God, and that there may be aliens out there and we are not alone. It is alright because we have each other, and we all make our own reasons to exist. We exist for our family's, our lovers, our friends, and our enemies. Do not worry over the big question, love what you have and live life to its fullest. Because it is all we have.
But whatever... No one reads this shit anyway... Mostly just talking to myself...
