OK My wife is having to do a tesis paper for school on a contriversial subject. She has chosen Abortion. The help she needs? Opinions. The question? When is a life a life? IE when is a fetus alive?

She just recently had an ultrasound done, and we can see the baby yawning. Even the doc stated that is what we saw. We apreciate all opinions on this subject.
