No matter what it was dealing with, no matter the subject, CNN was fair and balanced. Then there was "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling." I watched the CNN interview with former WWE Champion John Cena and the question of whether he used steroids was raised. Cena response response on air (edited) compared to the actual interview (unedited) shows that CNN is biased in their investigative reporting. Below are videos posted by a fan with both the unedited version of the entire interview along with the edited version that was played on CNN Edited version aired on CNN Unaired, Unedited version Like FOX News in their political reporting, I feel that CNN is biased in their investigative report. I have never been more excited about a Survivor Series event since the Main Event Survivor Series Match featured the Hulkamaniacs (Hulk Hogan, Big Boss Man, Tugboat & Hacksaw Jim Duggan) faced the Natural Disasters (Earthquake, Dino Bravo, Haku & Barbarian). This week, I will get down to brass tactics by posting my amended predictions for Survivor Series. Another look "Inside Bethea's Head" in What Bugs Me and aas always, a look ahead in W2W4. Earlier this week, I posted a special Byte paying tribute and respects to the late, great Lillian Ellison aka "The Fabulous Moolah." Her career was legendary, her life amazing. Shawn Michaels can't use Sweet Chin Music or he will lose the match. Randy Orton can't get himself disqualified or counted out on purpose or he'll lose the WWE Championship. Can HBK get the job done without his bread 'n' butter signature finish? Can Orton keep it legit and actually EARN a victory over HBK? This is the match where most eyes will be paying close attention to as it is so personal between the two. BETHEA'S PREDICTION: Shawn Michaels BETHEA'S REASON: I believe that he can get it done without Sweet Chin Music. It really doesn't take Sweet Chin Music to beat Randy Orton. Just a little surprise to knock Orton off balance for 1-2-3! World Heavyweight Championship: "Batista-Undertaker V--HELL IN A CELL" Batista vs. Undertaker FLASHBACK: "Batista-Undertaker I: Deadman Cometh." Undertaker wins World Heavyweight Championship and improves WrestleMania record to 15-0 "Batista-Undertaker II: No Man Standing." Batista and Undertaker take each other to limits unheard of in a Last Man Standing Match. Match ends in a draw. "Batista-Undertaker III: Animal and Deadman Caged." Steel Cage match ends in a draw. Undertaker is then attacked by Mark Henry then beaten by Edge for the title. "Batista-Undertaker IV: 'Phenom'-enal Demons Exorcised" Batista defeated Undertaker in a sensational match at Cyber Sunday with Stone Cold as guest ref. Now with WWE's most demonic structure being erected once again, one would have to say that the advantage is with the Undertaker because of experience inside Hell in a Cell. One would say Batista has the advantage because he did the one thing no one has been able to do: end Triple H's undefeated streak in Hell in a Cell. Either way, you can expect nothing less than the best out of both Undertaker and Batista because this has been a great rivalry for the World Heavyweight Championship. BETHEA'S PREDICTION: Toss Up BETHEA'S REASON: This one is way too close. Undertaker has a flair for making his opponents famous inside Hell in a Cell. Batista is already famous for ending the undefeated streak in Hell in a Cell of Triple H. My only prediction for this match is that Batista-Undertaker V is a can't miss match. Traditional Survivor Series Match TEAM TRIPLE H (Triple H, Matt and Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio & Kane) vs. TEAM UMAGA (Umaga, MVP, Mr. Kennedy, Finlay & Big Daddy V) You have got to love the battles within this match. First you have the ongoing struggles between Triple H and Umaga. You know this one is far from over. Mr. Kennedy and Jeff Hardy is about to reach the boiling point. MVP and Matt Hardy have not settled who's better than who yet. Finlay and Rey Mysterio have battled and looks like they are not done yet. As for Kane and Big Daddy V, these monsters have not ended this yet! BETHEA'S PREDICTION: Team Triple H BETHEA'S REASON: The whole team has a "never-say-die" attitude. Rey Mysterio's speed, Matt and Jeff's quickness and technique, Kane's power game and Triple H's leadership ability has all the tools to win this Survivor Series. ECW Championship--Triple Threat Match: The Miz vs. CM Punk (Champion) vs. John Morrison Both Morrison and The Miz have one thing in common: they want to end the reign of the straightedge Champion. The only problem is, neither Morrison or The Miz want the other to have the ECW Championship. That difference could possibly mean the difference between CM Punk retaining and one of the challengers living out his worst nightmare. BETHEA'S PREDICTION: CM Punk BETHEA'S REASON: It's a case of greed becoming the challengers. It will lead to the downfall of both men and CM Punk will retain because of both Morrison and the Miz's greed not only to become the ECW Champion, but to rub it in the other challenger's face. The Ultimate David vs. Goliath Match: Hornswoggle vs. The Great Khali I will not do a Tale of the Tape for this match. It's too easy. Mr. McMahon has set his illegitimate son up in a match against one of the most dominant physical forces in all of WWE. Is he nuts? This is one of those car wrecks you don't want to see, but can't help it. BETHEA'S PREDICTION: Hornswoggle BETHEA'S REASON: I give the little guy a slight chance to win. But then again, a slight chance is all he needs. WHAT BUGS ME?: Inside Bethea's Head II - Scott Hall returned and announced that he and Sting are not partners. Then who is it? - Chris Masters has been released. Now do something with that million dollar body and dime brain. - CNN's "Death Grip" has shown that Chris Benoit may have had the brain of an 85 year old man with Alzheimers Disease. What was the REAL cause of his suicide and the deaths of his wife and son? W2W4 (What To Watch For) ON TV Triple H will face Mr. Kennedy in a Pre-Survivor Series Lumberjack Match on RAW. What can we expect for Survivor Series? Will Orton and HBK come to blows during a Pre-Survivor Series face-off? How much worse can it get for Kelly Kelly? Only The Miz knows. Speaking of The Miz, will it be he, John Morrison or CM Punk returning to the Land of Extreme as ECW Champion after Survivor Series? How do you stop Big Daddy V? The Great Khali & Mark Henry via DQ SALUTE--Cyber Sunday's Best I have enjoyed this year's Cyber Sunday PPV. But the main event of the evening was truly THE MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING! Sure, the marquee said "WWE Cyber Sunday," but what I saw was "WWE WrestleMania." I send my first solo shoutout to the former World Heavyweight Champion, Undertaker for one of his best performances in a losing cause. Even had he won this match, I don't think he could have done a better job. My second solo shoutout goes to the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, Batista for his grit and determination to beat the Deadman and retain the World Heavyweight Championship. I have always said that the referees are always at the wrong place at the wrong time. For once I was proven wrong. The WWE fans voted Stone Cold Steve Austin as the Special Referee for "Undertaker-Batista IV" and the Texas Rattlesnake did not disappoint. My third shoutout goes to Stone Cold for being the referee that most refs should model after. Let the boys go, enforce the rules when needed and count deliberately. He did just that. Great job as the ref, Stone Cold. For the match itself, I give a collective shoutout to all three because as I have stated before, the marquee may have said "Cyber Sunday," but these guys made it look like "WrestleMania." Great job to all three of you individually and collectively! I would be remissed if I didn't give my final shoutout to the people that help made this match so good. To the 13,000,000 WWE fans who cast their votes not only on this match, but the entire event as a whole. Cyber Sunday is nothing without the fans. Beth Phoenix has a literal and lethal strangle hold on the Women's Championship. Are any of the other Divas safe from the Glamazon? Can John Morrison return the Land of Extreme back to strange days by regaining the ECW Championship? Is this the end of the Straightedge reign of CM Punk? Big Daddy V is the big man on ECW's campus. (Fans Choose Orton's Challenger) Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy: Jeff Hardy is a four time Intercontinental Champion and a mulitple time World Tag Team Champion. An excellent, high-flying, high octane competitor, Jeff Hardy is looking to take the next step up--becoming WWE Champion. Like his fellow nominees, Jeff is a very resilient superstar. Ask Umaga. If he can suffer beatings to regain the Intercontinental Championship, can you imagine what he will endure to become the new WWE Champion? Mr. Kennedy: Mr. Kennedy has a point to prove. He wants to show the world that he is more than just a big mouth. The former United States Champion is looking to take the step that he feels he rightfully deserves. Quick flashback: Mr. Kennedy has defeated 7 World Champions (former or current) during his rookie year by hook or crook. He just couldn't seem to reel in the big one. Cyber Sunday could be the stage where the Big Mouth from Green Bay can silence his harshest critics. Shawn Michaels: The Kid Is Back! Shawn Michaels is back from injury suffered at the hands--or should I say foot--of Randy Orton. Two weeks ago on Monday Night RAW, HBK's return left Orton looking as if he had seen a ghost. At Cyber Sunday, HBK is looking for vengeance and what better way to do it than to take the one thing Randy Orton has been hunting for: The WWE Championship. For the Showstoppa, this is more than about the Championship...this is personal. BETHEA'S VOTE: Shawn Michaels BETHEA'S PREDICTION: Shawn Michaels wins the WWE Championship BETHEA'S REASON: One: My wife says so since she has been stuffing the ballot box with votes for HBK (lol). Two: If you combine the motivation behind the return of HBK, coupled with what put him out in the first place and HBK's ability to display his best in big match situations and you will understand why I voted and chose the Showstoppa to win at Cyber Sunday! WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Batista vs. Undertaker SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE: ??? (Fans Choose Special Referee) John Bradshaw Layfield: The self-proclaimed "wrestling god" and current SmackDown color analyst has had a history with both The Animal and The Phenom. Most of it was painful. It was Batista who gave JBL his worse beating in his career in a No-Holds Barred Match. It was Undertaker who nearly ended JBL's career sooner than it did in the first-ever Last Ride Match. How straight of an arrow can JBL be when calling this match against two men that he has been in the ring before? Mick Foley: Like JBL, Mick Foley has been in the ring with both men, but his history more linked to the Deadman. As Mankind, Foley has the best win-loss record over the Man from the Darkside. Undertaker made Foley's name legendary at the 1998 King of the Ring in a Hell in a Cell match. The only record of Mick Foley being in the ring with Batista was when The Animal teamed with Ric Flair and Randy Orton in Evolution at WrestleMania XX against the Rock 'n' Sock Connection. But Foley's track record as a guest referee is spotless. Every match he has refereed, he has called right down the middle. Will the trend continue? Stone Cold Steve Austin: Referee 3:16 says "Cross my path and you will get hurt!" Stone Cold Steve Austin proved that the last two times he was named as a guest referee. At WrestleMania XX, he called things straight up and up with Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. It happened again during the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23. Each time the end of the match was the same. At least one Stunner was dealt by the star of The Condemned. Like Mick Foley and JBL, Austin has had an extensive history with the Undertaker. That rivalry culminated in 1999 in a Buried Alive match in which Austin was victorious. Will Austin continue to deal out 3-Counts, Beer cans and Stunned competitors at Cyber Sunday? BETHEA'S VOTE: Stone Cold Steve Austin is the Special Referee for this match. BETHEA'S PREDICTION: Undertaker regains the World Heavyweight Championship BETHEA'S REASON: I will not take anything away from Batista. I would like to see him win this match, but he's going against a veteran who is like a fine wine. Undertaker has only gotten better with age and each comeback. The only X-factor would be the guest referee. Whomever that may be, if this match is called down the middle, then Undertaker wins this match. It will be WrestleMania 23 all over again. ECW CHAMPIONSHIP: CM Punk vs. ??? (Fans Choose CM Punk's Challenger) The Miz: The self-proclaimed "chick magnet" has proven that he is willing to do two things: one, stoop low enough to get what he wants and two, anything it takes to get to the top of ECW's ladder. Proof positive: look at Extreme Expose...namely Kelly Kelly. Miz owns the contract of the trio and says he can fire her if she decides to date Balls Mahoney. If he can do that, what can and will he do to become the ECW Champion? John Morrison: John Morrison's career has been a roller coaster ride. As Johnny Nitro, he has been WWE Tag Team Champion and Intercontinental Champion before arriving in the Land of Extreme. He transforms himself into the self-proclaimed "shaman of sexy" and he has become the ECW Champion before losing it to the reigning Champion CM Punk. Morrison looks to become the ECW Champion again. He knows that the road to regaining the title is through both the fans and CM Punk. Will strange days return to ECW? Big Daddy V: This 500 lb. "Man-ster" has been destroying every thing in his path including CM Punk. In fact, at No Mercy, Big Daddy V showed the ECW Champion no mercy and cracked the champion's ribs. The behemoth is in a prime spot to capture the ECW Championship. If the WWE Fan Nation votes in Big Daddy, look for a new ECW Champion and one that will be as dominant as a former ECW Champion: The Big Show! BETHEA'S VOTE: Big Daddy V BETHEA'S PREDICTION: Big Daddy V wins the ECW Championship BETHEA'S REASON: CM Punk is vulnerable right now. He is injured and he is fighting injured. Big Daddy V is the one who injured the Champion and I feel can do what ever he wants to. My rule still sticks for some reason: If you are 7 feet or taller and/or weigh around the 500 lb. mark, you can do anything you want to! In this case, it will be Big Daddy V, the new ECW Champion! TRIPLE H vs. UMAGA (Fans Choose Match Stipulation) STREET FIGHT: This match fits both of these men perfectly. It's no-holds-barred, anything goes, smash-mouth, in-your-face. Like the other match choices, this is not for the weak at heart. This is not a "normal" wrestling match. This, as the name implies will be a fight. Don't look for a lot of "wrestling" in this. Between the Samoan Bulldozer and The Game, this match looks pretty even. FIRST BLOOD: This is a street fight with no pinfalls or submissions. Use of weapons is encouraged. Umaga demonstrated that he doesn't need a weapon to make his opponent bleed. All he needs is his Samoan Spike. On the other side, Triple H can use anything his heart desires. TV Camera, Steel Chair, Ring Bell...SLEDGEHAMMER... STEEL CAGE MATCH: You are gonna put two "animals" in a cage? Are you kidding? I mean don't get me wrong, it's a good idea, but that means you will get the other two matches in one with one difference: ONE OF THEM WILL HAVE TO ESCAPE TO WIN! This match favors Triple H more than it does Umaga because Triple H while delivering the punishment, is always thinking. Hence one of his many nicknames, "The Cerebral Assassin." BETHEA'S VOTE: Street Fight BETHEA'S PREDICTION: Triple H wins BETHEA'S REASON: The King of Kings rules this one by using the biggest muscle in his body: his brain. It will be like Muhammad Ali beating George Foreman in the "Rumble in the Jungle." Triple H is a wizard in street fights. He knows what to do and WHEN to do it. When the Cerebral Assassin strikes, you can bet that Umaga will get his Pedigree checked, just like he did at No Mercy. REY MYSTERIO vs. FINLAY: (Fans Choose Match Stipulation) NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH: This is too easy for Finlay. All he would have to do in my opinion is use the shillelagh all day on the Master of the 619. Too easy. One good shillelagh shot and it's over. I'd like to see something tougher than just a No DQ match for Finlay. SHILLELAGH ON A POLE MATCH: This one looks like Rey's match. His speed and agility can get him up the pole to capture the shillelagh, but it can still fall back in the hands of the Fighting Irishman or a second shillelagh would be introduced. Interesting setup if you ask me. STRETCHER MATCH: The last stretcher match that was held, Rob Van Dam defeated Randy Orton at One Night Stand...but just barely. He still wound up on a stretcher following a post match attack by an unrepentant Orton. Will Rey Mysterio suffer a similiar fate at the hands of Finlay whether Rey wins or loses? BETHEA'S VOTE: Stretcher Match BETHEA'S PREDICTION: Rey Mysterio wins BETHEA'S REASON: I like Mysterio's chances here. I feel that it will be that his heart will be the one thing that Finlay is not expect to pull Rey through this match. MATT HARDY vs. MVP (Fans Choose Match Stipulation) WRESTLING MATCH: This is their comfort zone. Comfort Zone? The marquee says "WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT." Both of these men are champions in wrestling. MVP is the reigning United States Champion and one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions. Matt Hardy is holding the other half of that Championship. It will be too bad that this is not for the United States Championship if this one is chosen. BOXING MATCH: Both men has had a taste of boxing experience via four-time World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Evander "Real Deal" Holyfield. Matt has actually been in a boxing match with Holyfield, while MVP, who is supposedly good friends with "The Real Deal" got knocked-out by Holyfield. All of this came upon the most recent edition of Saturday Night's Main Event. If this match is chosen, who's experience is going to win out in the end? MIXED MARTIAL ARTS MATCH: This contest puts both of them out of their element...sort of. Mixed Martial Arts (if there are those who have not seen UFC, Pride Fighting Championship, IFL, etc.) mixes Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling with Ju-jitsu, kickboxing, muay-thai fighting and boxing. Who will have the edge in this one remains to be seen. No matter what the outcome of the voting is, the bottom line will settle the question of who's better than who. BETHEA'S VOTE: Mixed Martial Arts Match BETHEA'S PREDICTION: Matt Hardy wins BETHEA'S REASON: Matt Hardy is always looking to better himself regardless of what he's doing. MVP on the other hand is too cocky for his own good. At Cyber Sunday, I feel that Matt Hardy will knock his Tag Team Championship counterpart down one peg. That will settle the score of who's better than who...at least for now! That's it folks. There's my vote. There's my power exercise. I've shown you all how easy it is.
