looking at and trying to understand the human animal's fascination with explanations and justifications for its existence and conduct, one is immediately brought to bear upon the various belief systems so prevalent among 'us'. every one that i can think of has, at its core, the interests of the human, and thus is flawed. even the ones one conjures up as being most closely linked to the world upon which we live, those of the first nations...indigenous... aboriginals and so forth, have a key aspect to them that centralises their own needs. they are means by which they explain why and wherefore, incorporating practices that have served them well for sure, and with that there is contained the very real message of reverence towards all that nature provides lest they succumb to misery and death. still, it remains a belief system-or a series of belief systems since each aboriginal community will have their own variation of these tenets. the ones that most approximate these beliefs, of the non aboriginal, would be those like buddhism, hare krishna etc. and yet they too are 'beliefs' as opposed to truths, formed from the human animals' interpretations and perspectives. the one true perspective that is neither human in focus and that identifies itself with the world because its in fact a key aspect of this world, would be what we call the wiccan 'religion'. it is not a faith since such a word implies a limited knowledge and even less evidence of truth and consequence. it is not a belief for the same reason. its tenets are the tenets of nature, since its origins are as old as nature, being a findamental component of nature. those who are human adherents to that which is wiccan are the humans who have not lost that which is natural within them-even as they remain to be mocked and ostracised by their own species, having been murdered and tormented throughout the ages for this awareness and oneness they have with this planet. wiccans accept and embrace, without judgment. wiccans are attuned to the ways of nature, and they have the powers of the animal, being that they are of animal. other humans want to deny that they are merely a species of animal, seeking qualifiers that favour themselves as being superior to 'animals'. that said, wiccans possess powers such as intuition, that allow them to utilise all their senses and emotions. this is what we, as a species, requires-to be akin to the wiccan, so as to best continue to exist and even thrive as an embodiment of this planet earth... blessed be...
