A Beautiful Woman
by George J. Carroll
I always considered you
A beautiful woman.
With your crimson painted lips
And cheeks red with youth.
Your Hair so meticulously kept
That glistned in the noon day sun.
Your svelte figure that caught my eye
Every time I saw you walk by.
From the first day I saw you
I knew you were the one.
And when I finally met you
I was awed by the charm you spun.
Though we dated other people
I always came back to you.
And then one day I proposed
And to my delight you said yes.

A Beautiful Woman Remembered
by William Bonilla
Ha! Ha! Ha!
Listen!
Can you hear people laughing?
Is it from the past?
When you were on top
Of the world.
Most beautiful
Of God's creations
Men at your feet
At your bekoning call
At A snap, of your fingers
Even killed
For your alleged honor.
I once remember you
As a Goddess
When I was a youth
About seventeen.
Waited outside your house
God no!
I was no stalker
Just wanted you, to sign a picture
From your latest released film.
I remember that day
So clear
I have cherished it
So deadly dear.
I approached you, with pen in hand
You placed the palm, of your hand
Over my face
Pushing me aside, like a piece of dung
Now look, who's out of place.
Ha,! Ha,! Ha,!
Remember?
Well, who's laughing now?
Look at you
All that's left of you
Is that stretched out
Shinny mask, you call a face.
From all the nibs, tugs pulls,
And surgeries here and there
You look like a clown
Without a crowd and no one to stare.
Half your body
inside a garbage can
looking for nourishment
Supplement.
Carrying your worldly
Possessions
In two shopping bags
Stretched out stckings
down to your ankles.
Brown stains streaks
Down your legs
From dysentery infections
From God knows what.?
Ha,! Ha,! Ha,!
Listen!
Do you hear,
The laughter?

Most Beautiful Woman In The World
by Ruwaida Van Doorsen
She has no special talent
No special beauty mark
No invention with a patent
No voice of a comely lark
No hourglass physique
No sunbeam likened smile
No lingering mystique
No manicured nails to file
But what she had she flaunted
With the style of a fur- lined stole
With the chic of a runway model
She flashed her beautiful soul
