Breathless

This is a bit of 'poetry' I wrote up the other day. I wonder what would happen if I woke up breathless Torn into pieces and riddled with infection Nowhere to turn in a world full of excuses Relentless expression put to impractical uses Constantly blinking while nothing changes The used people handing out thousands of chances Never moving, waiting for some changes Watching the minute hand, as you know your life passes Safe in the knowledge that there's nothing you can do Safe in the knowledge that you'll always be you But what if I told you when I wake I feel breathless Sitting silent, while you watch and take guesses The colour draining, waning like the moon What if I told you, I'll get my breath back soon. Would you believe, would you stand and leave? Safe in the knowledge you'd just been released? Safe in the knowledge of what you've chosen to believe. But what if I told you you'd just been deceived? Numbness injects a cool air of clarity to my soul I woke up breathless, gained knowledge and grew cold.

QuestionsVS/Answers

We ask questions to get answers. There are all different types of questions you can ask, to different types of people. No matter what you ask though, why, or even how difficult it was for you to ask it. You want an answer. But as many different types of questions there are, there are even more answers to give. You can't ask someone a question that is a lie. A question can't be a fabrication, because it is seeking truth. Your truth can be different from mine, and a billion other peoples, but that doesn't't mean it's a lie. Does it? Answers are a grey area. Questions are black and white. Good VS evil. Question is primarily God, and the Answer is Satan. Right? But can't Question be temptation? Temptation is Satan's fruit. You can ask a question, and someone might not want to answer but they feel they have to, and it opens up a can of worms and becomes a mess. Question can be temptation in the easiest, purest form. "Do you want to come back to my place? Do you want a line of coke? Do you want another?" It's when the grey area of Question becomes Statement. "You are coming back to my place". "Come on, you'll have another line". When statement becomes fabrication. 'Nobody will know!'. 'It'll be great!!'. And later, that's when Statement becomes Answer to the Question. Just a thought

Random Pensiveness

You can ask anyone if they've been happy. They'll probably break eye contact, pause, possibly even smile to themselves remembering. Possibly not. But you can only ask when someone's happy. Even if they're jumping around while a huge smile on their face exclaiming their sheer joy to you - but when it comes down to it, you can only say 'They seemed really happy!' But you can tell when someone's sad, right? You can recognise it easier, they're withdrawn, quiet, pensive, moping around the house all day even. You know that they're sad about something. You just know it. It's easier to pick up on, isn't it? Because we all recognise it so well, we've all been there, more than we've been happy we've been sad - So we notice it in our fellow man. But you'll be thinking, hey, we've all been happy too. Maybe not AS much as we've been sad but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if someone's in a 'good mood' does it? Let me ask you this first, how many people do you know that would want to pretend to be sad? Sure you get your attention seekers, but apart from them, who do you know? Think on that a second and then answer me this. How many people do you know that pretend to be happy? You can't tell if someone is.. You can only ask.
