A fickle heart never gives all.

Living out it's lonely life from back behind it's wall.

As good as gold, it may be.

When love gets too close, it has the tendency to flee.

It's afraid of loves rejections and pain.

It has nothing to lose, yet nothing to gain.

Itch You Can't Scratch

Have you ever had an itch that you just can't scratch?

The kind that's dead center the middle of your back?

It would be easier to have some help with this task,

But years of independence has made me to stubborn to ask.

So where does this leave me? I can only blame myself.

For an itch I can't scratch, and being lonely as hell.

Liar

Empty inside and no where to turn;

Faking a smile before tears start to burn.

No love in my life and few friends I call mine;

No one to say that it will all be just fine.

Just 24 hours to escape and be free;

To live out this lie I dreamed of for me.

But wishes aren't heard, and dreams are defeated;

The real world doesn't care how badly it's needed.

So I'll hold my head up and pretend it's ok;

My lie still a secret for at least one more day.

A Dreamer's Treasure

Still dreaming of the chance to give all of me to you;

Without hurting our friendship like so many people do.

This dreamer's mission of discovery is love's sweet pot of gold;

But the greatest treasure that could be found is the beauty of your soul.

Stupid

Stupid me has cloudy vision;

Not seeing what's true, just what I'm feeling.

My judgement sucks, that's always been so;

I keep forgetting till stupid I go.

Will I not ever somehow learn?

To use my head not passion's burn?

No more follies can my stupid self take;

My heart can't handle bad judgement mistakes.

Can't Get It Right

Running Blind

Always been known for running fast and blind;

Living on faith and these dreams of mine.

Never had anyone to hold me for long;

Can't keep my attention and my will is too strong.

If there ever was one to really capture my heart;

His soul is still watching although we're apart.

Now you've come as close as any other man will;

To seeing just what heart and soul will reveal.

Running blind and not knowing what tomorrow will bring;

No more apologies because you make my heart sing.

What's wrong with people when they deny your laughter and smile?                  

When they can't stand to see a happy face; would rather grump and growl?

Are they just unhappy folks who wants everyone the same?                                        

Did they never learn what you do to others comes back, Karma is no game.

Maybe they have a cold hard heart who others are of no concern.                                 

Uncaring, heartless individuals who will repete these lessons because they did not learn. 

Don't let these people effect your path or let them bring you down.                                 

Cause what you do to others will certainly come back around.
