I don't invest a lot in these. I read for fun. Most of the time I like to read OLD ones to see if they were any kind of relevant at all. Most of the time they're so damn vague anyone could relate. Heh, nothing magical or mystical there.
So, when I read this it really caught me a bit by surprise to find out that quite a bit of it is true for me. Then again, the people on the boards I've quoted from say it's been pretty typical of their lives as well.
Is it because it's the same "vague blanketed comments" tactic used in the newspaper and tabloid blurbs? Or is it because we're all (mostly) Virgos and, well, it was written for Virgos after all? Hmmm One may never know.
It's a fun and interesting read nonetheless.

Your August Horoscope

It matters not if your house is neat or a messy disaster. Inside, as a Virgo, you like life to have strong structure and an underlying logic. The problem this year has been that many elements of your life have changed, sometimes without any clear reason. You don't like unpredictable events, but you have been subject to a series of eclipses in your own sign and opposite sign of Pisces, and their job is to evolve you to a whole new place.
You are a flexible, mutable sign, so when the chips are down, you roll with the punches better than most signs, but that doesn't mean it's been easy. In the coming two years, your entire life will look different, with new friends, associates, and possibly a new position, home, or partner - or the whole kit and caboodle. It will be exciting, but change demands a great deal of adjustment, and that's been the hard part.
This month, the eclipses in Pisces and Virgo are back. They always come in pairs, two weeks apart, in the form of a full moon and new moon. The first will be a full moon lunar eclipse, on August 28 in Pisces. Next month, a solar new moon eclipse in Virgo will arrive on September 11.
In astrology we know that eclipses are the most powerful tools that the universe uses to create dramatic change. They shake us out of our complacency, and bring new adventures and certain truths that help us solve certain mysteries. All the while, they keep pushing us forward, helping us see that we are stronger than we assumed, and able to do more than we ever imagined. Eclipses can be pushy, but they are effective in helping us get moving. Decisions that would normally be put off are often accomplished in the blink of an eye.
This is not the first time you've dealt with this family of eclipses. The first in this series arrived on March 14, 2006, then on September 7 and 22, 2006. This year you had one on March 3 and 19, 2007. You have one this month on August 28 and another to come on September 11, 2007. Your last eclipse in this family of eclipses will come next year, as a full moon lunar eclipse on February 21, 2008, at which time you will be done for the coming nine years.
No doubt, the coming month will be one of high contrast, with stunning highs and some nerve jangling lows. You've become used to this type of atmosphere, so in that respect August will be nothing new. Still, you'll need to pace yourself carefully and set aside time to decompress as you go along. Be good to yourself, dear Virgo. You often put others first, but this month, you'd be wise to find time for yourself, perhaps by treating yourself to a massage or for quiet walks after dinner.
The very best part of the month will occur early on. All year you've been super lucky with real estate, living situations, and possibly even family support. If you feel your home-related Leprechaun has temporarily left you flat in recent weeks, there's a reason for that.
Jupiter, your great protector, has been napping since early April and withholding his greatest powers. Hence, you may have put a bid on a house that you didn't get or were dismayed to see a choice apartment slip out of your hands. Remain optimistic, because your luck is about to change. Whatever was "lost" wasn't that good anyway - later, in hindsight you will see the truth in this.
Your home and family-related good fortune will extend from August 6 to December 17. Be sure to make your biggest and most important home-related decisions before that period ends.
Pay particular attention to all the days that surround August 6 for good news involving real estate. That is when Jupiter will regulate its orbit. If you have been worried about the welfare of a parent or need a special favor or financial support from your mother or father, suddenly that may be possible, too.
Now let's turn to your career. You've been working very hard on getting ahead, and that hard work is going to pay off now. In June you had your first opportunity to take a giant step forward. Now, from August 7 onward, you will have another chance to score another big victory. This will be due to Mars' move into your solar tenth house of achievement and fame from August 7 to September 28. Use that period to make a name for yourself - you will have seven weeks.
So if you didn't see a breakthrough in the second half of June, you will get a second chance to do so now. Either way, it'll be quite a fabulous time for your professional standing - you'll love the praise, publicity, and opportunities that you get.
The moves you make in your career during the coming seven weeks will affect your professional life for the next two years. Take this period very seriously. You won't get another strong opportunity to advance your career for another year.
All month, your intuition will be very strong, so trust it, for it will be given to you to protect you. You will easily sense others' motives, so follow your instincts now, even if you have no solid reasons to point to. With the new moon, Sun, Saturn, Venus, and Mercury all lighting your house of your subconscious, you may find you are downright psychic in August.
This will become evident once the new moon appears on August 12 and also in the two weeks that follow. Saturn will be very active at this new moon, and will also meet with a variety of planets this month, including Venus (August 13), your ruler, Mercury (August 18), and the Sun (August 21).
Saturn's activity tells me that you will have all the discipline you need to overcome a condition or habit that may have frustrated you lately. If, for example, you want to stop smoking or give up late night snacking, start your behavior modification plan after August 12 for best luck, or in the days that closely follow.
During this same time - the second half of August - you will find that the work you do in solitude or with one other person will be particularly productive. You can make a great deal of progress in writing a book or screenplay, for example, or while working on a thesis. Any work requiring thoughtful reflection or meditation will be helped by this new moon.
As you get closer to the full moon lunar eclipse, August 28, however, life will turn a bit turbulent. If your birthday falls on or within five days of August 28, you will more likely be touched by events, either immediately or within the coming six months. However, it's possible you already felt the effects of this eclipse if you received sudden news about a relationship last month, near July 28, plus or minus five days.
Astrologers use bell curves, so it is also possible that you might not see a manifestation of news until next month, September 28, plus or minus five days. If you have other planets in your chart near 7 degrees Virgo, you would also see shifts.
Your focus will be a close partner who will act in a surprising, erratic, or even shocking way, and in so doing stir your emotions very deeply at this time. You may break things off or be given a shocking revelation, leaving you feeling shaken and spent. At all times, remain philosophical - you need to know the truth.
The person you will be focused on will be a lover, spouse, business partner, agent, or expert you hire, such as a publicist, lawyer, collaborator, or other professional. Lunar eclipses bring endings, and alas, this one may be no exception.
If your birthday falls in mid-to-late September, you have already faced your toughest eclipses. This month's eclipse on August 28 is more likely to affect those readers who are born in August or the very first days of September.
Think back to what happened on the last eclipse, March 3, 2007 - you may have been wrangling with this person at that time, and if so, this month would bring another round of difficulties with the same individual. You seem to be getting close to a decision, but since there will be one more eclipse in Pisces on February 21, 2008, your relationship may not be decided until then.
You had a similar eclipse 19 years ago, on August 28, 1988. Of course, other planets have since moved into different constellations, but you may get a general idea of what may come up now.
The reason I want you to have your guard up at month's end is that Mercury, your ruler, will receive an exact mathematical opposition from Uranus, planet of sudden, powerful change, at the time of this eclipse. Also, Saturn will be very close to the Sun, and the Sun rules your behind-the-scenes sector, suggesting you will find out something that has been said about you behind your back. Or you may discover something about someone who has purported to be your friend who is not, and find that information unsettling.
Mercury is not only your ruler, but also governs your professional standing in your solar chart, so there is a small likelihood that you may face a career setback at this time. It is unlikely all these things will happen, of course. Have your defenses up in a sensible way, but don't become overly anxious. The eclipse will search for weak links that need strengthening, that's all. The universe is trying to protect you by giving you necessary information
With all this talk about a partner or steady sweetheart who may be acting in volatile ways, I will now address those Virgo who are single and who have not been dating. If you have no romance in your life now, you may only feel this eclipse in a business way. If you have no business partners, you may not feel the eclipse at all. September will be a more social month than August, and more importantly, give you reason for hope that a new relationship could be on the way. The year gets better and better in that regard - late December and January will be simply glorious!
If you are dating someone you love, and the relationship is strong, things could easily lead to commitment. From August 18 - 21, you might be ready to make a decision about your romantic partner one way or the other. Eclipses are simply testing points - if you find your partner is your ally, there is nothing to fear.
Whether you have a partner or not, you should take very good care of your health this month. Months that hold eclipses in our sign or opposite sign are often draining. If you need medical assistance, get it quickly and don't put it off. The sooner you go, the sooner you will be back to feeling your old self again. I am not saying you will necessarily need medical or dental help, but if you do, it will be the eclipse that is trying to help you.
Your best days for love will be August 2, 4, 9, 15.

Your sign certainly has not had it easy, and now, with the advent of a major lunar eclipse in your opposite sign of Pisces on August 28, it may seem downright unfair to be asked to field even more challenges.
