Come to the edge of the glen
In a cottage you'll find her there.
Don't ask her where she's been
She'll only look at you and stare.
Walking a circle around you
She'll look you up and down
Many things she has in store for you
But she doesn't make a sound.
Her hair is as black as the raven
Perched upon her chair
Eyes the color of onyx
You cannot help but stare
Beautiful deep brown skin
Kissed by the sun above
An unexpected grin
As she beckons you to come.
She leads you to a den
That was just recently built
Bids you take a chair
And says "Ask what thou wilt! "
You feel somewhat startled
And even a bit afraid.
Beneath her breath she giggles
Because you are in her domain.
You want to know the future
She turns the tarot cards
Are you a winner or a loser
She stares at you very hard
"I do not wish to know! "
You suddenly change your mind.
I think I'd better go
You turn and leave her behind.
You came to me for insight
And now you walk away
The visions are not so bright
You'd better change your ways.
Her words echo in your head
As you drive away from the glen.
Was there truth in what she said?
You ponder again and again.
Come to the edge of the glen
In the cottage you'll find her there
Ready to tell the future
Ask ... if you dare.
