There’s no bout a dout of what I’m here to say Life if forward and backwards this way Sideways sometimes it’s simple for me Step to the side and let things be I don’t understand what some people think Overload your boat and it will sink Take on the world as if it would change But to do nothing is not in my range Forward I push to make things right Nothing I’ve changed without a fight Small things are different this I’ve done My impact on the world is simply none But change is the place that starts it all I must push forward and answer the call Without the will to make things right Darkness will come as quick as the night There’s know bout a dout what I should do Make things better for me and for you The best way I know is to start right here To make myself better and have nothing to fear Change what I can and strive for my best Help who I can and try for the rest Do what you can to help others be fit There’s no bout a dout it stand up or just sit Thomas Vern Ellison Jr. 09/18/07

Are you here to show me how Are you around to let me know Is it’s is ok for me to show The feelings I have and can’t let go I can only feel you are just on the shore Is it real or just a mystery tour I like to think its better you see When the past is a direct part of me I miss my friends that are gone from here But somehow they show me they are near A message in passing or a fleeting glance They’re here with me now it feels more than chance It’s funny to be in touch and not just the same Maybe their here or I’m just insane I can feel them so it’s hard to explain They are telling me something all the same Wish I knew how to understand But I am simply just a man Life will continue this I know My brother told me long ago In death we leave this world for sure People and property are yours no more But I will still be here you see As long as my friends remember me Thomas Vern Ellison Jr. 09/06/07
