The Star Trek crap got to be too much. I hate that show.
As last heard, I went to my wedding Friday, and it was something else. My cousin is Catholic, so Friday during lent, no meat. We got mystery fish things as appetizers, and an open bar. You needed the open bar to escape the mystery fish and crustacaens
The wedding part of it though was ten minutes. One of the best weddings I was ever a guest at. I felt for the groomsmen, who had to rent the monkey suits for such a short period of time.
But the ride up there was not the nightmare I was told it would be, other than the fact we took my mom's van, she insisted on driving. Which meant she would ask which way should we turn, then go straight or turn the wrong way...three times. And the term "gradual stop" is not in her vocabulary. Two U turns, 3 wrong turns...and we made it. Throw in two teens who didn't want to be there...good times for all.
Saturday the boys went to my Grandma's to hang out with their cousin, so we grilled out. It's my wife's birthday, so we got a few things we were thinking of serving, and cooked them. While doing so, watched The DaVinci Code. I was afraid it would really suck compared to the book, but it wasn't half bad.
After being raised Catholic, and reading up on some of the symbology and history, I am taking a strong look into Wiccan. Right now it is at a curiousity stage, but stay tuned.
Sunday started off making breakfast. French toast with a maple/rum syrup with strawberries heated in it. Then went to see 300 before I took Sebastian home. What a great movie, a definite buyer. After that, took him to his mom's, and went home.
Nothing too exciting, but a weekend with two good movies is always a good weekend.
