Apply to Become Excito Diabolus Staff
(temporary Application)
We Have Recently Just Opened up After THREE Years of Being Closed Down. We are Fubar's OLDEST 100% Metal Lounge. Excito Diabolus is exactly what it claims to be: 100% Metal Music. Excito Diabolus Staff Privelages are Barely Needed here. We Do Not Ban People UNLESS They Are Considered to be a Danger to the Progress of Excito. If Deleting and Silencing can Solve the Problem, That is what we do. The Biggest Turnoff when it comes to hiring someone as staff is when they ASK FOR STAFF PRIVELAGES. Basically you are asking for the ability to kick someone. Staff Privelages will come once The Lounge Owner Feels that you Deserve them and can handle them based on observing your temperament and your interaction with the other members of the lounge.
Positions Available
We are currently hiring ALL Positions. We Need Greeters, Promoters, and DJs. We Also Need someone who can just help occasionally with a few graphics (rarely needed).
Greeting: Greeters in Excito are not here to say HI to people coming into Excito Diabolus. They are here to MAKE PEOPLE FEEL WELCOME, for no other reason than that they ARE WELCOME. If someone comes into the lounge and feels at home, they are on their way to becoming a new member or possibly even someone who works for Excito. If someone is not talking, they are needing someone to bring them into the conversation. It's good for our Greeters to understand that their job isn't over once that person subscribes or hangs out for 5 minutes. That person needs to feel like he/she is part of the conversation and potentially part of a new home. You never know, that person could be the person that brings in 100 new metalheads. ALL STAFF APPLICATIONS WILL INCLUDE GREETING. You may be busy DJing or Promoting, but ALL EXCITO STAFF WHO CARE ABOUT THE PROGRESS OF THE LOUNGE SHOULD GREET OUT OF SUPPORT FOR THE LOUNGE. Promoters and DJs may bring the people in, but it's the skills of the Greeters that make sure they stay.
Promoting: There is a link in the lounge underneath the Buttons on the left side of the chat. It says CLICK HERE to Earn 100,000 Fubucks. That link will set you on your way to Promote. Right now we are using this system to give people incentive to spread the word. We will HIRE you as a promoter once you have received the 100,000 fubucks on more than one occasion, once we see that Promoting is where you fit in. Promoters also need to be INSIDE THE LOUNGE in order to effectively promote the lounge. When you invite a person to the lounge, they come in and look FOR YOU. If you are not there paying attention, they will most likely feel like they were just pulled in for numbers, and they will leave. ALL POSITIONS SHOULD HELP GREET. I understand that you aren't watching the lounge as much while promoting, but the bouncer will get you anyway if you're promoting too hard. So it's good for a break, and it's good to check and see if your people are coming in. Kick Back, take a break and welcome in your invited members :)
DJing: Our DJs Take Requests Throughout their Set. They need to play NOTHING but metal music, except maybe the occasional comedy file. When i say comedy file, I don't mean a country song that is kinda funny. Or playing the song MY DINGALING. I mean something that is typically NOT MUSICAL, or a Parody File such as a Metal Band singing a Country Song (Aeon - God Gives Head in Heaven.mp3), or a Bud Light Commercial (hilarious). Sometimes People come in and Try to RUN the Playlist. Let them know if you are overwhelmed by calmly referring them to the Questions or Complaints Link by the Media Player. Within that link, it talks about Requesting Music. They should try and be considerate by allowing 15 minutes to go by before making another request. This may change to 20 minutes, in the event that it takes 5 mins to play the song, and a couple more for it to play, then 3-4 mins for it to finish playing. that only leaves about 5-10 mins til their next request. DJs Need to be ON TIME for their shifts. If you are going to be Late, you should contact ME or another DJ to cover for you. It is inconvenient for a DJ to miss a shift without telling someone. That person that is scrambling around to find a DJ may be in a hurry to go somewhere, and by missing your spot without notice, you have stressed their day. For me to say "screw it" and not CARE about whether or not the DJ shows up, that is requiring me to not care about the progress of Excito, and that is not possible for me. :)
Applying For a Position
In order to Apply for a Position at Excito Diabolus, You need to private message Minister Mabus with the following Info:
1) Your Name and other aliases that may be known to Excito Members.
2) The Position you are Applying for.
3) Any Experience you have acquired, either in other lounges or websites, that may help in your ability to perform the job being applied for
4) Lounges you have worked for and may currently be working for.
5) What times of the day you are most active and the times you are least active.
6) If you are applying for a DJ Position, check the DJ Schedule below the chat, and tell us what shifts you are available for, ignoring what shifts are already taken, because those may be subject to change.
While Waiting on a response to your Application, you can help greet in the lounge, so that we know you are here to help.
We are also very low in our activity level since we just reopened. Parking your name in the lounge is very helpful in that it raises our position on the lounge list and makes us more accessible to the people who are lounge hopping. Having your name parked in here is an easy way to help promote the lounge. So park all you can. If you can't, that's fine, but know that it helps a great deal.
