Darkness is all I see
It is all I've ever known
Never knowing an easy day
Or a spectacular life
Every day a challenge or test
That I may overcome or fail
Knowing no different than to carry on
Until I can fight no more
To tired and worn to care
Waiting for Death to take me
Into its sweet and gentle embrace
And to grant me a final respite
