Today i learned a good friend i went threw basic with was killed. I am to escort his body the rest of the way home and explain to his family how he died with honor.
This will be the 24th funeral in 6 years... How do i face his parents and tell them he died for a cause that not even i am sure i believe in any more?
He died doing what he loved and what he felt he was required to do... But is that acceptable? IS IT!
Why just god damn fucking tell me why, why anymore why for the love of god he was only 20.
Not even god damn fucking legal age to drink but old enough to die for his country??? Where the hell is this fair ?
He had his whole life infront of him , he got good grades, never did drugs and was always their for his friends when they needed him and now he is gone.
The world has lost an amazing person and i have lost a true friend. I mean i knew we all knew what could happen when we all joined up together but for the love of god this is not fair.
We arent even fighting for freedom anymore we are fighting just to survive in a place we do not belong.
And Bush wants to send how many more of us ? How many more friends? How many more good people need to die before we yank bush out and put in power someone who will end this crap!
