First of all, I do NOT have strong political views on either side of this. Just thought it interested that Elizabeth Edwards called into Hardball on MSNBC to confront Ann Coulter on her PERSONAL bashing of Edwards' husband (i.e. he's gay; he's exploiting the death of his son; yada yada yada).
Mrs. Edwards asked Ann to stop; of course, she said 'no'. Edwards then made the comment that Coulter pushes people away from the (democratic) process since she doesn't promote the debate of the real issues (only makes personal attacks).
