AND YET I LOVE YOU
I dream of you
before I lay my head
down to sleep.
I love you and, yet,
I do not love you.
I am fearful that
we will never meet
and that I shall live
my life without you.
But still, I love you.
And when you come to me
in my dreams
you brush my cheek
with your soft tender hand
and gently press your lips
against mine.
And then I awaken
And you will be gone once more
And, yet, I shall still love you,
my love,
my dream love,
I shalt never forget.
And I will dream of you
once again.
