Sigh..I'm home from work today because yesterday I had my braces 'adjusted.' I've had these things on about a year now and even though me teeth are starting to look Fabulous, I've gone through much pain with some of these adjustments. Sometimes, also, they leave too much of the wire protruding out the ends and they rip my inside cheek up. Ouch. Hard to eat or talk when that happens. Going back to the Othodontist this afternoon for them to trim the wire. Because of the pain, I take painkillers (Tylenol 1's and Ibuprofen) that leaves my head floating in a fuzzy haze and still doesn't relieve all the pain. It makes my head ache and I had a nasty headache this morning. So I took the day off. I would recommend braces if anyone thinks about having them, but only if you feel your teeth are in bad enough shape to justify going through all the expense and pain. It costed me $8000.00 CDN overall. Good thing I have insurance to cover a small amount of it!
I'm also anxious..and I guess I will be for the next few weeks while I search for a new job. I'm on contract with my current one and the contract ends the first week of September. I do File Management and Operations with some Accounting. The job is fine but there will be no work for me when my contract ends. So, once again, I hit the pavement to find something else. It's always stressful looking for work, going to interviews. (Those are always the worst!) I wish I could find a permanent position. I've been working temp jobs for the last 2 1/2 years. I've Always found work, thankfully but never permanent. I really want some stability. Ah well.
