My dear friend, Mr. Moon - who tenderly listened to me cry and tried to make me laugh (and often succeeded) - asked me a question recently -- IS FUBAR A DATING SITE!!!!!!!!!!!
I forgot to answer him, because it hardly seemed like a pertinent question to be asking me, because as my dear friend, he should already have come to the conclusion that I define the spaces and places I bring my individuality to - at least online.
Regardless of what 44,140 people may think about the purpose of Fubar right now (the number of folks currently apparently online here) there is 1 person -- ME -- that has always enjoyed the blogging aspect of Fubar, the casual talk with a few entertaining people (oddly I cannot stand to talk to Mr. Moon online, but he assures me he feels the same about myself). I do not really care what the supposed intended purpose of Fubar is. A place is how you define it. A circus is supposed to be fun, but there are plenty of people that see it as a place where wild animals are abused and creepy clowns ruin any sense of enjoyment from a fluffy mound of blue and pink cotton candy.
I would enjoy making a date to take my Mr. Moon to lunch, with myself and my husband (though he would spend the entire time sending me YOU ARE GONNA CRY ABOUT THIS AND I TOLD YOU SO) thoughts, and that has been my experience with making friends online -- except for my husband who baths me in love and nurturing.
Perhaps this message will reach Mr. Moon, or maybe I am just extending a vision of how I see the spaces of nothing which are what the land of Cyberia consists of - until you make it something of your design.
