This bulletin serves as a reminder to those who have let this day in American History fade to a faint memory, for those who are laxed and think this will never happen again...
Remember roughly 3000 people perrished this grim day..for what? Capitalism? Imperialism? Western Influence contaminating the Islamic Society? Whatever the reason, every American was affected that day..
I had the best day of my life September 10th 2001, gave birth to my son..as I lay in the hospital bed at 6:45am or so, just hit the morphine drip button, holding this lovely little life in my arms..and then on the television...America was under attack? WTF? I watched the 2nd plane hit live, the news broadcast went silent..and I looked down at this tiny baby and said "I am so fucking sorry for bringing you into this!"
Called my husband, woke him up to the news..and then called my Aunt (the ultra-conservative) woke her up as well, and I could hear the terror in her voice and I told her they just hit the Pentagon..
When I emerged September 14th from the hospital, I was greeted to a new America, a proud America..the Mexican & Lakers car flags had been replaced 10 fold with American flags..
Never before in my life had American society been so ravaged to ignight a fierce sense of Patriotism..I was and proud to be an American, many have died protecting this so called "Freedom", it is not FREE, someone must pay to keep our children playing in our yards & parks..someone must pay so we can have our Internet access at every corner..so remember, those who have paid with their lives..and regardless of your view(s) on the war(s) our FUCKING MILITARY IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD! and they got our backs..they are doing their jobs..like it or not, it is a job, some just wanted a free ride to college, and more than most, freely signed up after 9-11 to protect and serve OUR COUNTRY and our LIBERTIES...
Remember, no other country in the world has what we have here in the States..and I am thankful that I live here..and can say what I think, without fear of persecution..
Regardless of your political affiliation, religion, race, gender..be thankful you can be yourself here..If you want to make a million, you can, if you want to live in a tree, you can..anything is possible here and only here!
So hopefully July 4th you will proudly display your American Flag in honor of those who fought to keep it the Stars & Stripes..and not the Crescent & Star..maybe, just maybe, you will remember what you were doing 09/11..and reflect back to the vulnerability you felt and fear and terror as we all watched on a beautiful day, the World Trade Centers collapse!
This is far from over, the Jihad has just began..there will be more terrorist acts..subway bombs, chemical attacks, mall bombs, water contamination..the list can go on forever..remember to be aware of your intuition..and to watch your surroundings..not to be paranoid..just aware..
Every once in a while, we all need a friendly reminder that all is not peachy! and things can change in an instant..
