Album photo shot updates.

And it don’t stop… Oct 30, 2006 The trouble with our new job is that our arms are constantly bruised … why? Because it seems like every single day, we have to pinch ourselves to make sure that what is going on is actually real. So this weekend was the big photo shoot. The very important photo shoot that will let the entire world see, and judge us. It is the photo shoot that will make up our album photos, myspace photo’s, and website photo’s. Photo’s that will carry us an entire album cycle…a cycle that could last years depending on the success of the record. Did I mention that it is kinda important? So anyway, the always amazing and fabulous Annette Navarro did the shoot. Annette is the real deal. She shoots everything from very high profile models to million dollar ads for some of the biggest brands on the planet to…yep; you guessed it…musicians. Armed with amazing skill, and vision, she also has one of the best feels for fashion...period. As if just Annette wouldn’t be enough, she surrounds herself with some of the best assistants, stylists, and technicians you could find this side of the globe. It is an honor to call her a friend. This photo shoot was on a different level. Bigger than anything we have ever been a part of. From the $10,000 wardrobe, to the cargo van full of generators, to the 8 million dollar private jet…it was just insane. We shot all day long, with I believe around 5 different outfits. Locations were several different city scenes, bridges, and the bands favorite…a hanger that housed several unbelievable jets. (Huge shout out to Doug the pilot, for being one of the coolest people ever) I think someone said we shot around 1600 pics, and we had everything from gritty rock n’ roll, to super classy. We went from serious band poses, to pics of us just clowning around. There was definitely a little of everything. Good thing, because now that we have gone to the next level, there are about 1001 people who have to o.k. and sign off on everything we do. It’s good though…sometimes when you are on the inside, it is hard to be objective. This is why there are people like producers, managers, consultants, and label heads. They didn’t get to the places they are at by not knowing a little something. It is honestly a breath of fresh air to have so many talents helping us. So, no timeline as to when you will get to see the shots, but you can bet that it will be as soon as possible. Everyone is really excited to get a new website/myspace page up and running. So just as my bruises will begin to heal, I’m off to LA for the David Campbell string section. (Nov. 3rd and 4th) After that, one more week in NYC for final mixing. Look to be on target to have the album wrapped by mid Nov. More updates after the string section! Take Care, -Troy
