Taffy's blog: "Advice and Conversation"

  I commonly get asked for my advice about certain topics.  and I also hear a lot of complaints. In Particular about members of the opposite sex. here are some of the common complaints and my advice concearning them.

1.) Statement: "Men are all Liars and cheats and act like little boys"

Truth:  Some men are all those things. But I also say inspect the person saying this. Typically, it is a women who has been in a bad relationship. Where the guy treated her like crap. I cant tell you how many times I have seen good, honest beautiful women hitch themselves to absolute loser scumbags. And of course, the guy who did it is to blame. But I also think the women who kept him around has just as much to blame. Common sense tells you if someone is treating you like crap, you dont keep them around. Most people cant hide the type of person they really are for very long. Sooner or later, your true colors come shining through. When it comes to dealing with people you have to use common sense and clear judgement. If you dont like what you see in someone, chances are your not going to like it a year from now. Never think you can change someone, because the truth is you cant. Once a cheat always a cheat. Once a liar, always a liar. I think this next quotes sums it up best:  "Women cannot complain about Men until they start getting better taste in them".

2.)  "Women are all crazy bitches and only care about money"

My advice:  Sometimes this is true. But much more often, its because as a guy you didnt judge her character correctly. Rotten people come in both genders. As I stated in the previous answer above, you always have to use clear judgement when measuring a persons character. See something for what it is, not what you want to see. For example if a women tells you: " I never hang up on people" and then two weeks into the relationship she hangs up on you on the phone and you didnt do anything wrong. Chances are....shes a bitch and probably a liar. People always forget there are always more fish in the sea. A common line I use all the time is: " If you dont want me, Ill find someone who will". Breaking up is never easy, but being in a relationship that makes you miserable is worse. A women being a bitch is bad, but allowing her to walk all over you is just as much your fault as it is hers.

3.)  " If he cant handle me at my worst, then he doesnt deserve me at my best!"

My thoughts:  So.......let me get this straight. Your acting like a bitch. What's more, you know your being a bitch. He  takes exception to it(rightfully so). So therefore, because someone doesnt like to be dragged through the mud because your having a bad hair day this somehow makes him not worthy of you. Wow....  Where do I begin with this one.  Honestly I think this is the worst quote I may have ever heard in my life.  I often wonder if they people who use this quote would feel the same if the other person was acting in the same way towards them. One of the things that pisses me off royal, is when people try to use their gender to excuse bad behavior. Whats more, this screams of a bad sense of entitlement. Nothing in life is guaranteed. No one is entitled to anything short of basic human rights. So thinking that someone has to put up with your bullshit, just because you have a vagina(or a penis) is ridiculous. So if you are one of those who abide by this statement, get over yourself. If you want to be treated with respect and treated right do the same to others. And stop using double standards.
