Happy U.S. Thanksgiving to all. Enjoy the football games! A few quick NBA thoughts for you. 1. Brandon Jennings (Bucks): The combination of him and Monta Ellis have folks in Milwaukee enjoying their home team again. Jennings is averaging close to eight assists per game while scoring close to 17 points with over three steals a game. Needless to say, hes producing. The up-tempo style fits his game perfectly and he has the confidence of coach Scott Skiles. He has terrific ball skills and can impact the game defensively with his quick hands and pressure on the ball. Fun times for the Bucks. Entertaining, thats for sure. 2. David Lee (Warriors): Helping his improved team with another solid year with 15.6 ppg and 11 rpg. Relentless competitor who goes after it in the lane and has a very effective face-up game. Pace of play is not an issue with him. Produces in whatever scheme you run. Like his approach and professionalism. You can count on him each night. Runs the floor and gives you great second effort. A double-double man and consistent doing it. 3. Rudy Gay (Grizzlies): Nice having him heathy. Terrific frontcourt with Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph. How about this guy on some nights as a third option averaging close to 20 ppg. Not a bad situation for Lionel Hollins. He is a very good shooter with a good mid-range game who draws fouls and creates his own shot. Has a good overall feel for half-court offence and moves efficently without the ball. One of the really good teams in the West. If he stays healthy, theyll be a tough out come springtime. 4. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Bobcats): Putting up good numbers as a rookie (11.7 ppg and 7.2 rpg, shooting 46 percent). Love his energy and motor. Plays all out and guards at a few spots. Major key for him will be whether he can improve his perimeter shooting. Hes got an explosive first step and if he can be respectable in this area, his whole game will open up. A gamer who competes with fire. 5. Dominic McGuire (Raptors): With the injuries to Landry Fields and Alan Anderson, hes getting some run and for a coach like Dwane Casey who values defenders, hell continue to see the court. Has his limitations offensively but to his credit, he doesnt force his game. A team guy who has given them the ability to mix/match him some nights based upon the playing ability of an opposing 3 or 4 man. Can guard almost any spot on the floor and is a good on-ball defender and steady overall team defender. Knows and accepts his role. Wont wow you but a valuable piece to have in spots to use. Cheap Jerseys China . -- Kevin Faulk is retiring after 13 seasons with the New England Patriots. NFL Jerseys From China . 23 Florida State on Saturday afternoon. Mike Campanaro caught four passes for 60 yards and threw a 30-yard touchdown pass, while Josh Harris had a big day on the ground for Wake Forest (4-1, 3-0 ACC), rushing 13 times for 136 yards. http://studyworx.org/china.html . Not only is physical capacity combined with concentration, but even the daily emotional work of so entirely devoting your life to just one thing. HOUSTON -- The Houston Rockets welcomed their latest acquisition with far less fanfare than the guy who arrived last week. Omer Asik may turn out to be just as vital to the team as Jeremy Lin. The Rockets introduced the 7-foot Asik at the Toyota Center on Thursday, a week after much more crowded news conference for the point guard Lin. Both players signed three-year, $25 million offer sheets and came to Houston when their teams -- the Bulls and Knicks -- declined to match. While Lin brings some star power to the roster, Asik fills a more critical position for the Rockets, whove missed the playoffs in three consecutive seasons. Houston has needed a big man since Yao Mings career was derailed by injuries. The Rockets ranked 18th in scoring defence (97.9 points per game), 23rd in opponents field-goal percentage (45.6 per cent) and 20th in blocked shots (4.8 per game), all areas they feel Asik can improve. Asik averaged only 1.03 blocks last season, but played only 14.7 minutes per game. "Seven-footers like Omer are in short supply," said Sam Hinkie, the Rockets executive vice-president of basketball operations. "Hes an outstanding help defender, hes a rim protector, he rebounds at both ends of the floor and hes proven this throughout his career." Asik averaged 2.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in two full seasons with Chicago. He was originally drafted by Portland in 2008, then immediately dealt to the Bulls, who signed him in July 2010. He acknowledges that his offensive game needs a lot of work, and hes eager to work with Houston coach Kevin McHale, the power forward on the Boston Celtics championship teams of the 1980s. "Im very happy that Im going to be working with Kevin McHale, a legendary post player," Asik said. "I know the offence is the missing part of my game, but I believe in myself that I can improve that by working hard every day. Im sure, if I can get more minutes, I can iimprove that.dddddddddddd" The 26-year-old Asik has not missed a regular-season NBA game, though he broke his left fibula in Game 3 of the 2011 Eastern Conference finals against Miami. Hell move into a starting role in Houston, and says hes prepared to take on a heavier load. In Chicago, he backed up Joakim Noah and averaged only 13.2 minutes in two seasons there. "It will be a little different for me, I didnt start much there," Asik said. "But I think I will be working very hard and try to adapt." Asik helped Turkey win the silver medal at the 2010 FIBA world championship, averaging 8.9 points and 6.9 rebounds during the tournament. Hinkie says international players generally make slow transitions to the NBA game, but Asik has adjusted faster than most. "He was outstanding as a rookie, and he took big strides even throughout this year," Hinkie said. "Hes a natural help defender, that when penetrators get to the rim, hes there waiting on them. Thats a big, big deal and not so many guys around the league can do it at the level that hes done." After a flurry of off-season moves, the Rockets feel like they have two cornerstones for the future in Lin and Asik. The Rockets announced Thursday that all three of their first-round picks have signed contracts -- Connecticut guard Jeremy Lamb, Iowa State forward Royce White and Kentucky forward Terrence Jones. Houston forward Patrick Patterson stopped by Asiks news conference and is encouraged by what hes seen. "The things that are going on right now in the Houston Rockets organization are definitely positive, positive moves in the right direction," Patterson said. "Its crazy. Its pretty much like a movie right now, just all the guys leaving, all the guys coming in and joining our team. The more guys we can get, it can definitely help this program and push us in the right direction." ' ' '
