Why is it that some people assume that women in an abusive relationship or have been in one think that the women can just get out when they want to. and say ohhhhhh you dont have to put up with that crap. I know from personal experience that you just cant walk away when you choose. A woman will endure what they have to, to protect themselves and their children. it may take a few years to get to the point when shes had enough. but the time does come in most cases. I do know that most abusers will tell their victim that they are worthless and that no man will have them. or that they will make sure no man will have them when they are done with them. Most of the women who have been abused, either physically or emotionally will beging to thing that maybe hes right. And stay with him out of fear. With fear, comes anger and when that anger comes to a head the woman thinks to herself hey maybe hes wrong i can make it on my own. I have been through this with my ex hubby, He is now doing 30 years for what he did to someone many years after i left him. His contoling, alcohol abuse, physical abuse and a gun didnt mix. and now hes paying for that in prison. I do know that hes not the same person he was before and that 10 years since hes been in. but because of him I will never trust anyone with my life the way that i did him. I can take care of myself and my boyfriend does know this. Sorry for the vent but i had read on someone elses blog saying that they understand what women go throught and said that the women dont have to put up with it. No you dont have to but you do for your own safety and that of your children, If you want to know more you will have to get to know me better. thanks for reading.
