~ About Me ~

Ok never did get a chance to do this the right way so here goes. My Name is Ben I live just outside Cincinnati, Ohio. Has lived here my whole life, except for a 3-year tour in Europe courtesy of Uncle Sam, which at 18 years old I loved. But that’s getting ahead of ourselves. I was born in the mid 50’s, went to various public and catholic schools through out my early years. Both my parents are still living although not under the same roof. I grew up in a neighborhood called Clifton Heights, It is were I work now and is the home of the University of Cincinnati. And during the 60’s with all the hippie movement going on I was right at home lol. I have 3 Brothers and 1 Sister. My oldest brother was in a ban called the Naked Watermelon. I used to go watch them play at the many places around the university. That is where I got my love for the 1st song on my page. They did Iron Butterfly’s song so dam good. It was fun growing up in the free love movement. In High School I played Football and Baseball, but the local street versions of the games are always were I excelled at, guess it was the no rules thing that made it better lol. But Vietnam was still going on and I had a passion to serve, so many of my relatives and friends had gone most volunteered, some were drafted. So in the spring of 1973 I joined. Went through Basic and Tech school. But instead of being sent to the Far East, they sent me the other way. When I got my orders I thought this is cool I got to go to Frankfort, hell that’s just 150 miles south in Kentucky, hehe I didn’t catch the rest at first. Frankfort, Germany. So off I went, to a small Tactical Air Base used to watch the skies from Russia, as it was known then. So that is were I spent the next 3 years of my life. Working on F-4 Fighter aircraft’s and sightseeing all up and down the Rhine River. Those Rhine River Cruises are out of sight, German women were so hot and friendly. They say you should never volute for anything while in the service lol well I was young and no body told me so when they asked for a Mobility volunteer I said uh ok I’ll do that. And it really turned out to be the best thing ever. It meant whenever our base was involved with war games. I got to go. So in that time period I spent time in France, Spain & England. Memories for a lifetime for sure. So at the end of 1976 I was out. Took a few months off then got a job driving a truck for a local meat packinghouse delivering to the Ohio Pennsylvania area. Then in 1980 I stopped by for a job at a local hospital in the Surgery Dept. Got that and from their every job was a step up, Surgery, Recovery, Maintenance helper, Maintenance Tech, Heating and Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. Which is were I am now. I am married and have 3 kids, who are all grown up now and out on their own. I have known my wife since she was 13 years old, we grew up a few houses away from one another. Have been some good times and bad times, so right now were good friends in the same house. Anything else you are curious about just ask.
