ONE:
What's another nail in the coffin when you're already dead
Just like another bullet in a corpse's head
Load the magazine, pull back and cock
Just like that we're ready to rock
Flick the flint, let the flame rise
Inhale the smoke, we're dead inside
Feet on the ground, but head's in the sky
I'm betting my soul, no second tries
I'm on a one way road to destruction
I've got a one-day active bloodlust
My one track mind can't function
Since the one last day my heart was dust
Why do you have to ask me why I don't change
I've never liked seeing me acting so strange
And don't even try to tell me that I don't care
How would you know? You've never been there
That's why I laugh when you try to get me guilty
Cause in my mind there's no reason to be
And it's so funny when you try to act
Just like when I leave and never come back
I've got one last thing that I've got to do
But I've got one straight shot to success
This is my last minute ticket for one last trip through
And one more chance to truly confess
(one day) One
(one will) I'm just one
(one way) Just like you're one
(one kill) And together we're one
(one touch) Cause we're all just one
(one feel) Like you're still one
(one cut) And I'm just
(one meal) One
If...:
Rewind
The time
If only you could
Change
Like the games
If you ever would
If it was your choice
To voice
And switch it all around
If you could scream
Your dreams
And have them found
Would you grab that chance and never let go
Or would you just keep walking your chosen road
I know what I'd do
It's not too hard to see
Whether like or unlike you
I wouldn't change a thing
Because this has made me who I am
Though sometimes I'm powerless
I still do what I can
Sometimes I'm right
Sometimes wrong
But I'll stare at the light
Just to blind the sun
And what if, what if
It was that easy
You'd sit alone and think
No one, no one needs me
What if, what if
Leads to your bliss
And this, our gift
Is our ignorance
The Hero's March:
We're waiting here under our flag
Of the stripes and stars
Looking out at all of you
Who are on the Hero's March
I stand here with this uniform
Not because I can fight
But instead to show respect
To you who've earned that right
And I must admire you
For when push comes to shove
You're willing to lay down your lives
For all here that you love
We'll give you a grand sendoff
Cause the road ahead will be hard
Remember us behind you
You of the Hero's March
A funeral is passing us
Each face darkened by the shroud
I can hear a voice speaking
And I shudder at the sound
'My little girl, don't you cry
Though your daddy's gone
I need you to wipe away your tears
And try to carry on'
We bow our head in respect
To the passing cars
Saddened by what we've heard and seen
On this, our Hero's March
But still nothing povoke me more
Than when soldiers return from their hell
To find that it's spread to their home
Leaving another emptiness to fill
They march back through the crowded streets
But there are no cheers
Instead they're showered
By human hate and fears
I give them an angry glare
And ask 'Who do you think you are?'
I shoulder my flag and turn back
To rejoin the Hero's March
The battleground, it takes no sides
Is neither foe nor friend
And yet we keep fighting these wars
When will the killing end
The answer, if you could reduce it
Compress it into this
We will rise when hands are stained
With the blood of the innocent.
Inside a Mind:
Rain, rain, burn away
All the tears Ive cried today
All the lies and all the hate
Turn me back to ashes
Storm, storm, strike me down
Take away the truth I've found
Drown me in a different sound
I long to return to dust
Sun, sun, shine your light
Show me such a different life
Give me another reason why
Help me endure these lashes
Earth, earth, lay me to rest
Let me finally forget
Let me lie without regret
Lose me in your trust
