Children... the source of so much pride and so much aggravation in our lives. It baffles me how they think these days.
Last night I told my children that if they were on their best behavior and did their chores and were all showered and ready to go to a movie by Noon today that we would see the movie of their choice.
10am - Went in and said Make sure your room is clean and youre all showered and ready to go... "Sure dad...uh huh".... nothing done
11am- Went in and said Make sure your room is clean and youre all showered and ready to go... "Sure dad...uh huh".... nothing done
12pm- Went in and said Make sure your room is clean and youre all showered and ready to go... "Sure dad...uh huh".... nothing done
Now at 445pm they all of a sudden say WHEN ARE WE GOING?? I told them they missed the 2 showings and that there was no time left to see it before dinner.
Did I do the right thing by allowing them to miss it and learn that to get certain rewards you have to accomplish certain things?
