True Friends

I met a great friend
Who knew who I was right away
It's funny how you understand
All I have to say
you listen to all my problems
you listen to my dreams
you give me advice
We talk about love and life
It seems like you've been there too
I've never felt judged by you
you know how I feel
You seem to accept me for who I am
and all the problems I have
you don't interrupt me
or need to have your say
You just listen to me patiently
And you don't go away
I want you to understand
how much this means to me
that you are my friend
you always tell me the truth
Even if its going to hurt me
But I know the only reason
You do it is because
you are my friend
I am so glad I met you
I don't know what I'd do without you
Thanks for being not just my friend
but my best friend!
