So we are right in the middle of fixing diner. The girls are both working late so they will not be home for diner. On the TV is a movie I have seen before but liked so I am watching it again somewhere in the middle, I often will do that. The Movie is called The Punisher kind of a shoot’em up flick where an FBI agent apparently kills a mafia king’s kid who was bad but it doesn’t matter so in retaliation the mafia hires thugs to wipe him out however in a move to make his wife feel better she wants this man’s whole family dead…yeah not a PG rated movie by far, so anyway I just threw on some bacon because I love Brussel sprouts with bacon, I know I know the bacon is not good for me…don’t go all Richard Simmons on me quite yet. So I just put in the bacon so I could fly back into the living room and watch the diner scene which is quite funny, and no there was no killing in that scene but as I am exiting the kitchen and it is a big kitchen Bonnie starts scream Deer, DEER DEER! I am like what what what woman, I am trying to watch this movie, well had she spelled it out I would have understood right away that she meant DEER as in 4 legged kind instead of Marrtay Dear, would you… anyway, that is just some while mind set I am waiting to have happen… but back to the program at hand… So she yells Deer, and is running around like a mad woman from window to window in the kitchen, It’s a big kitchen…oh I said that. So apparently one of us was noticed by the Deer who we feed Corn in the winter, especially when there is tons of snow on the ground, and trust me, we have had snow since 4th of July… well perhaps a little later, like December 5th on, but it seems like it has been here for 6 years! So the mad woman is running around and I swear to god the deer heard her stomping on the floor trying to get a better vantage point to take a picture of them, the photos will be on an email Boomers site or something trust me, they were close. So we put Diner on hold for like 30 minutes because we are like lemmings when the deer are out in the day light hours, normally they come during the night and snap up all the corn, and yeah I am somewhat morbid by giving them corn on the cob, but that is more natural to them then giving them shelled corn. It seems to easy and they are not pets… See deer have only bottom teeth and a hard gum upper jaw to crunch their food. But they love the corn and it is like watching a kid roll a tootsie-roll in and out of their mouth watching these 11 deer shuck an ear of corn. So Bonnie now the official animal photographer of the house is trying to better her vantage point and goes as far as opening a window, oh yeah she did it as quite as possible but, me being a hunter I can tell you deer can hear smell and sense danger or when something is not right from a mile away. So she spooked some of them but the big ole boy with his horns still on, which is weird as much as I know about deer, they drop their horns in the winter… so apparently we are in for more winter…yuck! To make a long story short she took many pictures, diner was great and I even scared one away this am after taking the trash can out to the edge of the road…Nature is great to view, to take in and to help out. Perhaps the deer will survive do to our help, and no they wont become dependant. They are still natures greatest gift to see prance and play. They eat and water themselves 3 to 4 times daily and do to the weather conditions, they will always have corn at the providers house, That is the nick name I say they gave us… I joke about it all the time to Bonnie and the girls… They provider did not put out the big ears today… anyway, you had to be there for that one. Tomorrow is Valentines Day and may yours be just wonderful
