I've come back, a weary traveler
Wondering through the journey that is my life
Memories I choose not to dwell upon
Etched into my weathered face
I've lost many a thing
Non of which can be replaced.
There was so much I wanted to say but couldn't speak
Tears of relief overwhelm me, I am finally free.
As I lay there on the cashmere grass
I breath in the earthy smell, it comforts me
The warmth of the sun tickles as it dances across my skin
I watch the formless clouds above and allow time to pass.
I embrace the present moment and enjoy a sense of being
My soul is a phoenix, risen from it's ashes
I close my eyes and smile, I can finally hear
The subtle whispers of silent trees.
