A gift, forever lost
It looks so small and fragile now it‘s almost nothing. A mere figment of what it once was. Pieces crumble into dust, you see the tiny cracks and rips. You wonder what kind treatment it took to have been left in such a state of destruction. It was once whole, and entrusted to him.
Walls were broke down and turned into rubble. Light, joy and thoughts of a happy future starting coming into view. Soft words spoken as promises where whispered. Sacrifices made that caused hurt to such a delicate thing. But they were made out of love. As tears dangled at the edge of her eyes. Her eyes, a window only he seemed to have looked into. They showed all the past hurts,pains and heartaches. He made them vanish with his love.
He told her he had waited his whole life for her. He gave her patience, kindness, and dare she thought even real love. They had mingled into one at times. Sharing the same actions, thoughts and words. They even tried to come up with subjects they would disagree on or fight about. Subjects that have yet to be discovered.
Time pasted, they fell in love. Scared of how deep feelings went, both held the words close inside. Finally, silence was broken. Her guard gone and letting go she told him “ I love you”, he replied the same “ I love you”. Both promising to not break the others heart.
With that he was given words no other had heard, “You make me feel Loved, really loved”. As she handed him her Heart. A gift that is now forever lost!
