I love the nature and outdoor activities: sports, exercise, hiking, camping, canoeing, climbing and anything on or near the water. I enjoy the study of ancient and medieval history, archeology, anthropology and philosophy and pretty much anything that expands the mind.
I enjoy challenges (either physical or mental) and adventure. Have done some pretty extreme stuff.
I live near the mountains of east Tennessee, but have lived and traveled all over. Among my favorite places are the Pacific Northwest, anywhere in the Rockies, and the hill country of west Texas.
Never would have imagined I would be, but I am a huge "Walking Dead" fan.
My favorite movie of all time is "Legends of the Fall."
I enjoy fantasy and classical literature.

Music
I enjoy music from a wide range of genres: classical, classic rock, new rock, some country, new age, ethnic and even some rap. Currently I am listening mostly to Shinedown, Nickleback, Avenged Sevenfold, Seether, Disturbed, Chevelle, Audioslave, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and artists in that vein. Love hearing something new and visceral that catches the ear and the soul.
Movies
I guess my all time favorite movie is "Legends of the Fall." I listen to music more than I watch movies, but I tend to like movies with an historical or fantasy setting: Kingdom of Heaven, Robin Hood, King Arthur, etc. I also enjoy movies that are emotionally evocative: Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, etc.
Idols
Do not have any real idols, though there are many historical figures that fascinate me: Alexander the Great, Richard the Lionheart, Shakespeare, Plato, Henry II, William Marshall, and the list could go on and on.
Video Games
Do not really play video games. As close as I come to that would be some online poker or backgammon.
