Worked all my life in communications/writing. In Montreal, in New York, in Saskatchewan. But "chronic neuropathic pain affecting multiple areas" put a stop to all that last February. My daily morphine helps sometimes, but sometimes it doesn't. So, now I'm in the process of trying to figure out what's next and what kind of projet to pursue. It's just a question of adapting oneself to a new reality. There.

Reading and working on writing projects. Actual writings are about news and comments (my site is called scriban média - It's in French). I sometimes write short texts for Newser and I've been writing some short novels in French. Presently writing (or trying to)a story about a darn finger (can't say more).
Music
Any music, any genre that appeals to my ear at any given moment. But chill-out music, Seventies and French successes get the Oscar. Love piano. Will admit to strong dislike for music that has been recorded with only one instrument: a hammer (boom-boom-paf-paf-boom-boom-ketish-ketish-boom-boom) and for heavy rock (ah, the yelling!).

Saving Private Ryan. Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Something's gotta give. And I'll stop right here, because there are too many others that just don't come to mind.
Idols
Voltaire. Ghandi. Rousseau. Diderot. John Ralston Saul. My (late) mother. René Lévesque. Emma Thompson. Jack Nicholson. And a couple of other actors. No, no, I will not say Justin Bieber.
Video Games
Oh, almost any war games (Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Battle of Europe) and car-racing games. On the smooth side, many Match-3 games. Strong dislike for hidden object games. And of course, I like online Poker, especially when fellow players don't take half and hour to decide if they're going to bet or not.
