    • jp95b11b A vet is a vet, combat doesnt make you extra special. I was in from 1989-1993, where I was cold war vet where we had to deal with the russians and be prepared for them to come over the fulda gap. I was guarding a special weapons site during the first time in the gulf and i did ask to be sent over to kuwait but the mission i was doing was deemed important so they could not let go any MPs. I was in the Infantry in the National Guard, I was in the 34th ID, in B. 2/135th one of the most deployed Guard infantry Bats there is. I was on standby to go to fill spaces when we started filling the body bags. So I missed out again on going. I did ask to go, but my chances never came up. And I do come from a family of military people so I gave my life to the govt for 6 years by choice knowing i had the chance of gong to war and i didnt mind. I do give respect to combat vets, my step dad is one from vietnam and my grandpa from WW1 where he was gassed, but i feel you also need to realize that a Vet is that, a Vet no matter if he fired a weapon in battle or not. And my stolen valor is wanting to go after people that want to steal the glory of the real people that served. And if you want my resume, i was B787 at Ft Mc Clellan, I was 110th MP and 6th MP in Germany doing Physical Security duties guarding a chemical and nuke site. Look up Operation Steel Box to see what I was a part of. I was 170th MP at Ft Lewis WA. So a combat should be respected, but all Vets we always ready to be called on to defend this country, foreign and domestic. Remember that
