46th minute of the gam

LA Galaxy midfielder Michael Stephens and forward Mike Magee have been suspended one game and fined for actions during a match against Houston. The MLS also issued a one-game suspension and fine Friday to Philadelphia Union forward Lionard Pajoy for his play against Toronto FC. Stephens had a challenge that endangered the safety of Dynamo midfielder Adam Moffat in the 46th minute of the game last Saturday. Magee was disciplined for aggravated dissent against the referee, including throwing a ball in the referees direction in the 92nd minute in that game. Pajoy had a reckless challenge that endangered Toronto FC forward Joao Plata in the 29th minute last Saturday. Cheap Jerseys USA . Though financial details were not released, French media reported the transfer fee could cost PSG up to C45 million ($55 million). Cheap Jerseys Wholesale .S. Open, hes returning to the hallowed Olympic Club to play in the same tournament -- and he couldnt be more surprised. http://facialhairstyleshq.info/cheapjerseys.html . The Stanley Cup champions made the final selection of the first round on Friday night. The 19-year-old Pearson is a late bloomer by NHL draft standards. Some thoughts on Round 1 of the Open Championship: *** Links courses need wind to protect them. Without wind they have no teeth and can be ripe for the picking. Thats what happened on Thursday when someone turned off the fan at Royal Lytham. Aided by overnight rain, a soft course was rocked by 53 players who shot par or better. Every player in the field broke 80, the first time I can remember that happening in one of these big shootouts. I also cant remember the last time I saw players back up balls on the green at a links course. Most of the time, the bounce as if they were on tarmac. It doesnt get much easier. *** Adam Scott has become a much, much better putter. Two years ago, the Aussie was 180th in putting. Heading into the Open, hes 76th. It used to be painful to watch a guy with such a sweet swing chop it up on the greens as if he was using a rubber-shafted blade. But ever since he switched to the broomstick model he has now, hes been, if not very good, at least much better. Will that get him his first major on Sunday? Still a long way to go but he does know how to play the parts leading up to the greens so if his putter is working, he should be around. *** Speaking of putting, if Tiger could have putt, he might be leading this thing. The guy missed one fairway, which cost him his only bogey of the day, and only missed three greens. And he used the driver just twice, on the second and the seventh. Thats not conservative; its just smart. But the slow greens got him and his putting was merely average as he struggled to get the speed right. (Funny, that was the same problem he had on the weekend at Olympic) If he can get the flatstick figured out, look out. *** With due apologies to the kid who got conked in the noggin, that was a tough break for Rory McIlroy to have his tee shot go out of bounds. “Yeah, if he could have headed it the other way, it would have been in the fairway,” he joked, after ensuring everyone his first concern was the kid he decked. McIlroys ball ended up so far off the beaten track that R&A officials hadnt even painted white lines over there; there were only posts. So all things considered, the 67 he posted was a pretty good score with the double resulting from that tee shot. *** Stephen Ames 74 on the opening round wasntt all that bad considering he took a triple on one hole.dddddddddddd He accomplished that largely by flying his wedged right underneath his ball in the bunker and leaving the ball in the sand. He went the rest of the way in one over. When asked how he would spend his afternoon after his morning start, he replied: "I think Im going to go and play Birkdale." That course is only about 30 minutes away and yes he was joking. *** Cell phones are seemingly everywhere here at the Open. On the sixth hole yesterday, Paul Lawrie had to tell a marshal to deal with a man talking loudly on his phone as the players were trying to tee off. The marshal didnt ask the man to stop using the phone, he just asked him to keep his voice down. Amazing. Later, on the 12th hole, a cel phone could be heard ringing loudly as Robert Rock tried to hit. It seemed to be coming from a woman in the grandstand who kept denying it was her until she finally pulled a phone from her pocket and looked at it with shock -- it was indeed ringing. This definitely isnt Augusta National.  **** Phil Mickelson on Tuesday: “Ill be a little more conservative off the tee, in an effort to ensure getting the ball in play.” That didnt translate into results on Thursday as Lefty hit only six of 14 fairways and seemed to need a Whipper-Snipper more than a driver. The scene on the seventh as a posse scoured the nasty rough on top of a bunker looking for his ball was positively Keystone Cops. Give Philly Two Gloves credit for keeping it together and getting off the course at only one over. *** Oh remember that forecast that said it wasnt going to rain again past Wednesday night? It poured steadily on Thursday evening and into Friday morning so much so that the R&A actually issued an advisory telling fans they may want to wait a while before coming to the Open to allow things to dry out. The course is still very playable, with the exception of a number of bunkers, but the walkways for spectators look like those scenes from Woodstock. Its tough getting around without your hip-waders. *** Quote of the day goes to Darren Clarke, the defending champ, who stumbled out of the gate to a 76:  “Coming up the last (I was) thinking how the bleep did I manage to win this last year?” ' ' '
