Interests
My interests are very simple. Reading, writing, and music would be first. Gardening and Guinness Stout would be a close second.
If relaxing at home, a good dose of sports entertainment is alright. Also, playing a video game via the Playstation 2 is just fine as well.
If in a creative mood, picking up the guitar or playing keyboard will suffice.
If in a quiet, contemplative mood...or just in need of some alone time...I sit in my recliner and read the Bible and meditate. Just listening for that still, small voice of the Holy Spirit...is quite calming. Well, always talking with the Lord is enjoyable; but i like the quiet times the best.
Music
Simply stated, I enjoy most forms of music and artistic expression, except for rap. Here's a few bands that I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to and still do: REO Speedwagon, STYX, Whitesnake, Queensryche, Journey, Winger, ZZ Top, Phil Collins, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Dokken, Petra, Natalie Grant, Bon Jovi, Scorpions...just to name a few. Of course, there are more, but why bore you with the rest...you get the picture. During times of relaxation and meditation, any soft classical music will do. While mowing the yard, the heavier the better...it helps get the job done faster. I love it loud and sometimes at a whisper depending on the mood. And last but not least, I enjoy praise and worship music as well. Because I believe that all good things come from the Father above.
