I am a member of the World Wildlife Federation. We try to wake up our politicians to the crisis our planet is in right now. The death of Steve Irwin has made a lot of people aware of the great work he did for education and conservation efforts. If you don't want to make a donation to a fund for wildlife conservation, please do something locally. It's as easy as taking a trip to the zoo or picking up trash in your neighborhood.My husband and I also sponsor two children through Christian Children's Fund. We have a boy in Senegal, Mustapha, who is 8 yrs old and another boy in India, Maniya, that is also 8 yrs. old. They are so special to us and they give us far more than we could ever give them! I encourage everyone that reads this to consider sponsoring a child as well. Education and understanding will help cure a lot of the problems in our world. Animals and children have no vote so they need us to speak out on their behalf.
