I realize everyone is in reflection right about now. I usually don't reflect on the past year but as I get older, (hopefully wiser) I thought I'd take a few moments to review....2007...
Wow what a year! I finally was able to break the grip around my heart that Rob had held so tightly for the past few years. Realizing what a troll he really is helped me heal. Emotionally anyway. He drained a healthy chunk financially as well...will take a little longer to heal from that. Stupid me! He has moved on to someone a little more dumb than me. Dumb I say because I tried to warn her about him...she didn't want to listen! So she deserves everything he sucks out of her. HA
Moving on...dating...oh what a thought! Internet dating is the rage now and I got sucked right on in. With all those "sites" out there. After much money poured into them...meeting TOO many men (some good, some not so good), I use one site, it's a non-paying site and I'm there just for the forums. HA I think I've met all the "good" ones already so I've given up on internet dating - for now at least! I keep a profile up but it clearly states NOT INTERESTED! A few losers here and there still contact me, thinking they will change my mind. Not gonna happen, at least not by the ones that contact me.
Business...not as good this year and last year, but decent enough. Paid the bills and then some.
Travel...went to many cities in FL to meet "the one" - NOT! I had fun anyway, stayed in some really great hotels, and did go to NY for 2 weeks.
Campaign - lost another election....political aspirations placed on the back burner for now. We will see what 2008 brings....have been asked to run on the local ticket instead of statewide.
Family....repaired relationship with my daughter. YEA! She just wants my money. Stupid me gives in...Gotta love MOM!
Home...started beautiful renovations of my home, complete with furniture and fixtures!
2008 - just have fun, continue meeting great people, build business, buy land, maybe a new car this year...sigh...and the best of all...finish the remodel of my home!
