Day of Vows
Cherished and draped in the light of the moon
Patiently she waits for his arrival soon
She has planned this day for many years now
He will take her hand they will say their vows
Flowing tears of joy happiness and love
Blessed unto them from high above
Eagerly excitedly she anticipates his touch
The gentle caresses that she craves so much
This night she has waited for many years
All the emotions all the fears
This night she giveth him all her love
Now they are mated as two of the dove
Forever and always deep within her heart
Its true love always they will never part
Compassion forgiveness compelling them now
Just as their promise a lifelong vow
