The pride and joy in my life is my son Johnathan. He is 12 going on 30. He is what I would call an old soul, with wisdom that a 12 year old should not yet possess. He has had to experience things in life that many will not and should not. I have also been blessed to have strong family ties. My parents have been togther for almost 40 years now and I also have a 20 year old sister. These soul's are so important to me and I wouldn't be the loving, caring, and accepting person that I am today without them. Life has been kind to me and given me a few REAL friends that I also concider family. My best friend is Verna and she is amazing!! I also count Josey,Rick, Carolyn, and Ben among the many angels brought into my life. Believe it or not I also count my soon to be ex-husband as an important part of my life. If it had not been for him letting go when he did, I don't know if I would see things as I do today.
Another important factor in my life, in making me what I am today, has been my on going fight with addiction. For 10 years I was addicted to perscription pain pills. In fact, that was the demise of my marriage. It has been working thru this demon and monkey on my back that I have come to dealing with things in a positive and healthy way.I am a person with many sides and complexities. I have learned to embrace life and whatever comes down my path. I see it this way, we can either roll with things or get rolled over. I don't know about you, but getting rolled over isn't a pain I am into. I truely believe that it is our experiences in life that are the building blocks that make us into what we are today.I also believe that it is important to feel our emotions and be real in expressing them. However, I also belive that if we stay stuck in them, we will sink and possibly never return, as if in quick sand. Basicly, I am a loving, caring, joyfull and accepting person. Who despite the possibly emotionaly crippling experiences I have experienced, has over come the storm and continue to experience this complex thing called life. I truely believe that it is those with pain in their soul that have true talent and something beautiful to offer this world. And as I continue to work on me, I can't wait to see how I will make a difference in this world and the lives of people.So, if you want to get to know me, be ready for the deep, inteligent, expressive, joy filled, caring, and sometimes sad emotions that are me!!
