Nine yrs ago I had a hip replacement with no issues. Last June they discovered I had a serious bone infection. The surgeon broke my leg to remove the old implant and inserted a temporary antibiotic spacer saying in 4 to 6 mths I would get a permanent one. Well, I like bright shiny things and Feb 28th I got my permanent one. I spent 1 week in hospital and the last 2 weeks here in Rehab. Good news, tomorrow or Thursday I'm getting sprung! YAYYYYYY! Just in time as today I hot a roommate who won't shut up... runs sentences together with no breath. Her phone ringer is like a fire alarm!! I'm Diabetic and Celiac and you'd think a medical facility could get my diet straight but not the case...every meal is a Royal Cluster F...! So far I've taken up Bingo, jigsaw puzzles and Seniors parties...omg!! Help me!! Get me outta here I'm turning into a senior!!
Last week, some really nice guy on here messaged me and told me "Rehab is for quitters"...I nearly lost my leg and worked harder than anyone in here...my motto has been, ,"I'm here to get out of here!" I was quite upset some random person knowing nothing about me would say that.
