I am a beach boy from So Cal and have surfed since I was 12. Prior to that I was into MX racing with my XR-75 until I started a new school in Dans Point and noticed all the girls were into surfers not RX'rs so I picked up surfing for girls. The irony is that once I got a taste of it, surfing became the center of my life and I ended up losing more girlfriends than keeping them. The ocean does not give up its honey whenever its convenient for you. You have to be flexible with your schedule and how far you find yourself from the water! It's a great lifestyle and culture. You notice I did not say sport. It's more than a sport and it's a close knit family for those who are locals, it's like the mafia-once your in you never get out.
