Well it has been a long month. Not a lot went on, so I was quiet. Thats about to change.
I have an appointment to see the surgeons office (not sure yet if I actually see him or if I see his people first) on Dec 18th.
I met the goals I had to other then I lied about the smoking. I'm down to 2 or 3 cigs a day and getting sicker each day when I light up so the Chantix is doing its job! I figure another week, 2 tops and I'll be completly off.
I feel horrid about lieing to the docs about the quitting but I had to in order to speed things up. Sue told me to go ahead and do it cause I was in a quandry. I HATE lieing! But in this instance, there was no choice.
Reason is because at work, our union contract is up in February. Rumor has it that the company wants us to go back to the shitty insurance. The one that I dropped because it was no help to me at all. The one where I had 5 frigging doctors group together and inform the insurance company that it was highly recommended I have the surgery or at the very least be put on weight loss program. That insurance company denied me! 5 doctors! So to be safe and to make sure I get this surgery done in time, I had to lie *sighs. Good thing is though that it shouldn't be a lie when I go to the doc.
Man I'm telling ya, if you want to quit smoking, get on Chantix. I opened this pack of cigs on friday morning. I still have 2 left out of 20 and its wednesday evening! 6 full days for a pack and I have had hardly any hard times not wanting to smoke! Its easy for me to go all day. Usually I have one in the morning and 2 in the evening/night now. And I'm one that doesn't want to quit deep down but am having an easy time of it now! I started the 3rd week.
I have gained about 6 pounds this last couple months but thats not bad considering how much of a struggle I was going through trying to quit smoking without the medication. I'm not jittery and snacking like crazy trying to hold back my cig urges like I was oct and nov!
Anywhoo, hopefully I'll hit it lucky and be able to say SURGERY! in a couple weeks. I'm gonna push it for as soon as I can get it. Might as well, its not like I have to wait lol.
Besides, it would just mean a month earlier then my plan was for and that means a couple more pounds off then originally planned for, for this coming summer hehehe.
