IT'S FUNNY HOW TIME FLIES:
Tears For Fears said it best. It seems like it's been awhile since I've
posted here and I could only wish my reasons were because I'm hopelessly
lazy or I was on vacation this whole time. Maybe next year…
I have been working on a number of things, truth be told. At this very
moment I am in the studio, smack-dab in the middle of a mixdown and I wanted
to take a few minutes to clear my head and tell you what it is I'm actually
in the middle of mixing. Actually Grant Mohrman is in the middle of mixing
while I'm lurking in some dark studio corner typing away pretending to pay
attention, AND I can't actually tell you what is being mixed, so I've kinda
lied twice in this blog already. I'm off to a bad start…
Since I can't say who, I can at least tell you how. A group in the UK
approached me somewhat recently to do a remix. I don't often take on remix
work, so when I do I want it to count and I want it to be something I will
be into remixing. Fortunately for me, this is an artist that I not only
like, but listen to and feel is pushing some new ground in a scene that
could use artists with a different perspective. So I'm hours away from
wrapping up this track and would love to tell you all about it, but until
their label makes an official announcement about their new single, mum's the
word.
MUSIC:
Congrats again to our winners, participants and voters in the previous round
of the Celldweller "Take it and Break it" remix competition. Watch the
vid below if you don't know what in God's green earth I'm talking about. I
have also decided that I need to spice up my video performance a bit, b/c I
sometimes appear and sound as if I've fallen asleep or that Captain Coma hit
me upside the head with his 'death-stick'. So from here on in, I will be
simultaneously talking AND juggling 3 live great white sharks while filming.
That should keep the standard MTV viewer's attention for at least 30-45
seconds. I'll also feel so much better as an entertainer, giving people what
they're paying for. (P Diddy, watch out.)
I could continue to ramble, but I won't –
