01-09-08 (darkness)

Film.gif and a Wednesday Welcome From the enigmatic (darker) side of Greg ... IDK I write that knowing it's not entirely true, I like to stay distance and been told I'm Mysterious - but I'd say more of a ... -R I D D L E- I enjoy the darker side, but really I'm much too joyious to be considered: 'dark' What can I say, lol - I tend to look to see the bright side of things It could be from my up bringing. Being poor (single mother upbringing) I was told if you think you have it "tough" You never have too far to look, To find someone who's far worse off than you! I remember eating mac & cheese (home made could'nt afford the stuff from the box) a couple times a week for dinner. I whined once when I grew tired of it (third time in a week) And was promptly told: "At least you have a meal" followed by the: "think how the kids without food would love to have anything" lol It's true, although back then I didn't know how close to being in the "poor house" we really were. I used to look at the kids who had the shiny things enviously -but- I really wasn't Missing much. 3 meals clothes (hand me downs) a bike (3rd boy in the picking order to get to ride it) yeah, me and the brothers had to "Share" it First bike that was only "mine" was the one I bought "used" with my own money. (I loved that thing) Scarey, how the kids have so many different bikes now-a-day, My daughter's 10, she's had 4 bikes already? her older 14 half brother has had TEN ... just because he wanted the 'newer models' each time ... OMG Does anybody else think kids with never learn to appreciate things by allowing this? question.gif God, I must being getting old ... Speaking like this makes me seem dark all right ... Like I'm from the 'dark ages' Speaking of old "things" and darkness ... I'll segue into today's greet: So - so far only LadyByrd has told me what "Thing" thought was the best part of Wednesday was ... Here's a hint: "If Wednesday only has TWO parts, which part would the Addams enjoy?" So, do you like my thinking greets? 484293075_m.gif Should I incorporate a riddle now and then? With those thoughts I'll leave you with today's greet:
