I am writing this blog because i need to vent and maybe get opinions on what u would do if u were in this situation.( this is especially for animals lovers and lovers of pitbulls
Today my pit attacked my manchester dog very badly. Now before i go on. From day one as a pup when we first brought the pit in( who was abandoned and we adopted) mikey the manchester could not stand him.
As (Franky) the pit got older he ignored Mikey. until today where i came outside to see my pit's mouth around my manchesters throat. I ran over immediately not thinking and tackled my pit trying to get him off mikey. ( the whole scene was so surreal like i was on the outside looking in. i couldnt even tell how loud i was screaming until my neighbor came out)
Now not only may i lose mikey who is now in stable condition but could go into shock, i lost my pit who is going back to the place we adopted him at.
It is a no kill adoption agency that my mom has volunteered for for many years. My first thought was to put franky down thinking that this is the best thing, but my mom was like "no" he is going back to where we got him. My selfishness lays within me becuase i cant bare the thought of franky going to another home all the while Mikey is in pain.
So i guess what i need to know is what would u all have done in my situation? Please be not too harsh it is still fresh it just happened a few hours ago.
